The Traitors contestant’s surprising family connection to a Game Of Thrones star is revealed

The Traitors once again had viewers on the edge of their seats as the film returned to screens on Wednesday night with 22 new contestants.

A clairvoyant, a chess coach, a British army engineer and a business manager were among the new participants who entered the Scottish castle to play the nerve-wracking game.

And it has been revealed that one of the contestants has a surprising famous family connection, as a Game Of Thrones star took to Twitter to confirm their link.

Ahead of the debut episode, actor Kerr Logan excitedly revealed on social media that his mother is none other than retired teacher Diane, 63.

He shared an official photo of her from the show and wrote, “My mom is on the snitches. My mother is on the traitors. My mother is on the traitors. She is crazy. I’m afraid.’

Kerr – who starred as Matthos Seaworth, son of Ser Davos, in the HBO adventure series – claimed he only found out his mother would be in the show when the cast was officially revealed just days before the series kicked off .

Posting the official group photo, he wrote: ‘How are you supposed to react when your immediate family is in this photo and you’ve just discovered it like the rest of Britain?’

To which Diane cheekily said, “I’d say, Wow, that’s absolutely amazing!!!”

Diane caused a stir in the debut episode of the BBC competition as, as a loyalist, she proved to be very observant in her attempts to track down the traitors.

During the selection ceremony, presenter Claudia Winkleman chose Paul, Harry and Ash as the group of Traitors, before revealing that they would have to recruit a fourth person.

The group sat blindfolded as Claudia tapped the three Traitors on the shoulders, before they all took off their blindfolds, with no idea who had been chosen.

However, Diane quickly turned to Harry – who was sitting next to her – and noted that he seemed to be ‘panicking’ under his blindfold.

She said she almost took off her blindfold to look at him as she commented on his behavior, making the 22-year-old British Army engineer nervous about being discovered.

Throughout the episode, she seemed to be keeping a close eye on the group, with Harry appearing to feel threatened by her perceptions of him.

The debut episode of The Traitors ended with a huge cliffhanger about who the fourth Traitor would be.

The episode ended with Harry, Ash and Paul choosing who they would recruit from the 19 remaining Faithfuls to join them as a traitor and ‘kill’ other participants.

Although the trio has narrowed down the choice of Andrew, Diane, Miles or Sonja to join them, viewers will have to wait until Thursday night’s episode to find out.

Twenty-two strangers play the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust, in the hope of winning up to £120,000.

She was quick to comment on Harry’s attitude at the Betrayer selection ceremony – where he was picked by presenter Claudia Winkleman – as she quizzed him on his nerves.

The Traitors’ debut ended with a huge cliffhanger over who the fourth Traitor would be, as Paul, Ash and Harry were tasked with recruiting someone to their group.

In the show, most of the contestants are Faithfuls and they must figure out who among them are Traitors – who have the chance to ‘kill’ a fellow contestant every night.

The group has daily ‘bans’ in which they must vote to kick out someone they believe is a traitor, while working together on challenges to raise money for the prize fund.

In addition, the participants compete in various ‘missions’, which until now have aimed to increase the prize pool, but this year can also see the group win ‘shields’ that protect them from murder for one day.
