Brittany Higgins has shared the first update on her new life in France after moving there permanently following her latest court appearance in Sydney.

The former political staffer completed her last court appearance in Bruce Lehrmann's defamation case against Channel 10 in early December and was on a flight to Europe before Christmas.

She bought a house in the south of France and has started a new life with partner David Sharaz and their cavoodle, Kingston.

In new photos shared to Instagram on Wednesday, Ms Higgins paints a picture of a quiet life in the small town of Lunas, about halfway between Paris and Barcelona, ​​Spain.

Ms Higgins' previous collage was posted four weeks ago and included photos of Byron Bay, Sydney Harbor and Parliament House in Canberra.

“No matter how far or wide I wander, I still call Australia home,” she captioned the series of picturesque Australian landscapes.

The couple landed in France just days before Christmas on December 21, arriving at their rustic five-bedroom chateau for the first time.

The couple had traveled from the 4.5-star Sheraton Bordeaux Airport Hotel and were later spotted holding hands as they picked up their beloved cavoodle Kingston and cat Clover from quarantine at Bordeaux-Merigniac Airport.

The couple said they were excited to settle into their new home with their pets over Christmas, with Mr Sharaz adding he was also looking forward to doing some mowing, referring to the castle's overgrown grounds.

The first photo in the series shows Mrs. Higgins wearing a black wool coat, black leather heeled boots and a bright red ribbon tied in a bow in her hair.

She walks with Kingston down a cobblestone street covered with petals from a tree pruned by the European winter.

The caption is a quote from the French philosopher Sartre, which reads: 'Nous sommes nos choix', and roughly translated into English as 'We are our choices'.

“Here are a few of mine lately,” Ms. Higgins captioned the photos.

A series of photos showcasing her first month of adventures in France includes a shot of the Arc de Triomphe at night and what appears to be a Parisian street scene.

The collage suggests that the couple traveled through France by train, visiting art galleries and museums along the way.

The pair cooked a roast dinner paired with bubbly for their first Christmas abroad, with Mr Sharaz posing proudly at the head of a long table.

Ms Higgins' followers left messages of support in the comments.

“I love seeing you living your best life in Paris,” one person wrote.

“You deserve the very best of everything from now on,” a second agreed.

A third shared: 'You deserve peace and joy…always.'

Lunas is a community of fewer than 600 people in the country's historic Dordogne region, named after its main river and famous for more than 1,500 castles dotted around its picturesque farmlands.

The couple's first month in their new home appears to be a welcome change after the stressful end of 2023, when Ms Higgins was called to give evidence during Mr Lehrmann's defamation trial.

Mr Lehrmann is suing Network 10 and Lisa Wilkinson over an interview Ms Higgins did with The Project in which she claimed she was raped in Parliament House.

He has always strongly denied the claims.

Victoria Beckham shared an insight into her family’s festive outing after the world’s most famous clan flew to the Bahamas for Christmas.

On Thursday, the 49-year-old pop star turned fashion designer took to Instagram to share a stunning video featuring a montage of the group’s family antics.

Together with her husband David, 48, their children Brooklyn, 24, Cruz, 18, Harper, 12, and Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz, 28, Victoria had the time of her life.

Notably absent was their son Romeo, 21, who Victoria mentioned in her caption, writing: ‘Fun in the Bahamas!! We miss you so much @romeobeckham x love you so much,” tagging the rest of the guests.

The holiday had everything you’d expect from a £372million patriarch, with the group having fun on a yacht, speeding around the island in a buggy, drinking from personalized cups and dancing on the beach.

David was at the wheel during the trip, as the sportsman drove his family around in a buggy as a plane flew overhead.

During the buggy ride, Harper held her hand over her mouth to expose her full set of acrylic nails, complete with a French tip design.

She was also seen in the video walking along the seafront in a trendy bandana-style top with shorts, showing that she has adopted her mother’s legendary fashion sense.

Showing off his own legendary ball skills, David was seen kicking a ball at the boat’s helm while Victoria sat behind the camera.

With his status as an aspiring chef, Brooklyn took to the grill where he was preparing delicious cuts of steak for his famous family.

The entire clan then headed into the ocean, where they appeared to be swimming with creatures and using snorkels to get full visibility.

Known for their amorous expressions, Brooklyn wrote his wife’s initials in the sand inside a heart while they also danced together.

He then ventured up a tree, apparently looking for coconuts, but fell dramatically at the end of the video.

Earlier this week, in the middle of their outing, Nicola and her sister-in-law Harper showed off their best pouts on Instagram.

The actress is known to be close to the pre-teen and they often pose together, with their friendship developing in the wake of Nicola’s now-resolved feud with Victoria.

Following Nicola and Brooklyn’s wedding in 2022, it was claimed a ‘full cold war’ had broken out between the duo, with insiders saying: ‘They can’t stand each other and aren’t talking. The run-up to the wedding was terrible.

The couple never spoke out about the issue, but it seems there was a resolution as they are now often seen in each other’s company.

Leading the way was Sofia Vergara, who got down to dirty dancing with her lookalike sisters Claudia and Veronica Vergara, as the trio showed off their incredible skills while dining at Anastasia Soare’s home. 

Alongside the Modern Family star, 51, modelling icon Christie Brinkley was throwing a vegan feast paired with zero sugar wine – seemingly ensuring her healthy diet was not overthrown for the holiday. 

While some were living it up at home, a number of stars showed off their philanthropic side by dishing out food to the homeless at the Los Angeles Mission’s annual Thanksgiving event.

Also showcasing their festivities were stars including Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Garner, all of whom were keen to wish their millions of followers happy holidays. 

Sofia was celebrating with Romanian-American businesswoman Anastasia along with a slew of equally sexy pals, who were getting well and truly stuck into the fun and frolics of the day. 

Her dance partners included her sisters Claudia and Veronica, who complemented her ensemble in near-identical skin-tight knitted dresses with lurex thread to match their famous sister’s style. 

Christie Brinkley shunned a typical Thanksgiving feast in favour of a vegan spread and zero sugar wine, while showcasing her iincredible table layout and posing in a Parisian-inspired look.    

To mark the big day, Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming shared a heartwarming throwback snap showing the star surrounded by his entire blended family, as she commented on the love in their home. 

In the image, he was seen with his five daughters – Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, nine, whom he had with Emma, plus Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 29, by his first wife Demi Moore, who was also presents.

His kids and both wives have rallied around Bruce, 68, as he suffers through a battle with dementia. Emma added a caption reading: ‘I’m grateful and thankful to know this kind of love. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving’.

Lily Allen was showing off her Thanksgiving feast – including a deliciously bronzed turkey, however one of her followers felt it necessary to critique her cooking technique, leading to an accusation of ‘mansplaining’. 

The critic penned: ‘Nice job. You should try using a thermometer and pull it out at 165F. Looks a tad overdone’, to which Lily wrote: ‘I did and it was 165. it was perfect, thank you.’

One of her followers countered: ‘You got mansplained on your already perfect turkey’, to which the critic replied: ‘chefsplained actually but whatevs’.

It is one of the biggest holidays of the year with almost 300 million Americans dining on a turkey dinner with all the fixings like mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts.

Jennifer was seen making a Berry punch with her brand Delola. Earlier this month she shared what the holidays will be like with Ben and the kids.

‘I’ve always loved the holidays since I was a little girl, but I’ve really embraced them since I’ve had kids,’ said the former Fly Girl this week.

About 3 million people are expected to attend the 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan as the weather warms up and skies are clear.

Hailey Bieber showed off her plate of mashed potatoes. She also added a snap of her stuffing.

Showcasing an exciting lineup of featured character balloons, magical floats, the finest marching bands from across the country, dynamic performance groups, imaginative clowns, the nation’s biggest musical talents and the one-and-only Santa Claus, this is the nation’s premiere Thanksgiving celebration.

The broadcast will begin at 8:30 A.M., featuring a showstopping performance by Jon Batiste. The 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off from its traditional starting line at 77th Street and Central Park West at 8:30 A.M. The procession will march down its signature 2.5-mile route taking it from Central Park West to Columbus Circle, turning onto Central Park South and then marching down 6th Avenue/Avenue of the Americas. At 34th Street, the Parade will make its final turn west and end at 7th Avenue in front of Macy’s iconic Herald Square flagship.

Public viewing will be set up along designated portions of the route and managed by the NYPD. Spectators should avoid bringing large bags, umbrellas, backpacks, and strollers. A National Celebration Last year’s ‘Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade’ was the most-watched entertainment program of the 2022-23 season as it brings the nation together like no other broadcast. Parade fans nationwide can watch the official telecast on NBC and simulcast on Peacock, from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., in all time zones. The network will air an encore telecast at 2:00 P.M. ET/PT. New for 2023 will be several additional cameras along the route, giving viewers new Parade vantage points never seen before. ‘TODAY’s’ Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will join as hosts of the Emmy®-Award winning celebration. The King and Queen arrived in a flash of light bulbs this evening for a glittering state banquet, concluding the first day of their Kenyan state visit.

It comes as the king told the Kenyan people of his “greatest sorrow and deepest regret” over Britain’s “abhorrent and unjustifiable acts of violence” during the colonial era.

In a keynote speech that went far further than many expected, amid calls for an apology for government abuses under his late mother’s rule, King Charles said there was “no excuse” for British “misbehavior” in the East African country, especially against the Mau Mau. revolt.

At a state banquet in Nairobi, he told the Kenyan president and 350 guests: “It is the intimacy of our shared history that has brought our people together. However, we must also acknowledge the most painful times of our long and complex relationship.

The king stopped short of an immediate apology, which carries greater legal liability because it is not the policy of the British government to do so.

His words came as President Ruto delivered an even stronger speech – hinting at further demands for reparations.

He said Britain and Kenya cannot “live in denial of history” and highlighted the “displacement, dispossession and disenfranchisement of indigenous Africans, paving the way for brutal colonialism.”

The president described British efforts to crush the Kenyan people’s struggle for independence as “monstrous in their brutality” and made it clear that he would not accept the £20 million Britain has paid so far in compensation for victims of torture and repression was deemed inadequate.

“While efforts have been made to atone for the death, injury and suffering inflicted on Kenyan Africans by the colonial government, much remains to be done to achieve full reparations,” he said.

But he praised the king for his “visionary leadership” on the issue, saying: “Your exemplary courage and willingness to shed light on uncomfortable truths that lurk in the dark reaches of our shared experience are… commendable.”

“This is a very encouraging first step, under your leadership, to make progress beyond the cautious and ambiguous half-measures of recent years.

“We are therefore confident that, under your visionary leadership, relations between Kenya and the United Kingdom will continue to flourish for the benefit of our two countries and peoples. ‘

The king endeared himself to his audience by using various Swahili expressions and his pronunciation was described as ‘impeccable’.

He emphasized the “special significance” Kenya has for his family, not least his late mother, not least because that was where she discovered she was queen.

But he also sweetly mentioned the Prince and Princess of Wales, saying: ‘It was here, within sight of Mount Kenya, that my son, the Prince of Wales, proposed to his wife, now my beloved daughter-in-law.’

He concluded on a positive note, saying in Swahili: ‘Umoja ninguvu’, Unity is strength.

Dishes on the menu include Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms, Rose and Cardamom Strawberry Pie, Lemon Dill Yogurt Sauce, Summer Squash, Crispy Millet Biscuits, Marinated Millet and Grilled Corn Kernel Salad and Spicy Avocado Sauce.

Notably, Chef Nina Curtis has been featured on major television networks and is regularly asked to speak as a guest speaker at prestigious culinary conferences around the country.

Chef Curtis has assembled and trained a skilled workforce in this role, managing front and back-of-the-house operations to provide delicious and nutritious, plant-based meals to staff members and visitors at Adventist Health Corporate headquarters. She also oversaw educational programs focused on whole plant-based meals, giving presentations encouraging colleagues and visitors to adopt these healthy food choices, which received excellent feedback.
