Sofia Vergara performs racy dance with her lookalike sisters, Christie Brinkley serves zero sugar wine with a vegan feast while big-hearted stars serve the homeless as Hollywood celebrates Thanksgiving

As is the annual tradition, Hollywood stars showcased their Thanksgivings festivities on social media. 

Leading the way was Sofia Vergara, who got down to dirty dancing with her lookalike sisters Claudia and Veronica Vergara, as the trio showed off their incredible skills while dining at Anastasia Soare’s home. 

Alongside the Modern Family star, 51, modelling icon Christie Brinkley was throwing a vegan feast paired with zero sugar wine – seemingly ensuring her healthy diet was not overthrown for the holiday. 

While some were living it up at home, a number of stars showed off their philanthropic side by dishing out food to the homeless at the Los Angeles Mission’s annual Thanksgiving event.

Also showcasing their festivities were stars including Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Garner, all of whom were keen to wish their millions of followers happy holidays. 

Sofia was celebrating with Romanian-American businesswoman Anastasia along with a slew of equally sexy pals, who were getting well and truly stuck into the fun and frolics of the day. 

Her dance partners included her sisters Claudia and Veronica, who complemented her ensemble in near-identical skin-tight knitted dresses with lurex thread to match their famous sister’s style. 

Christie Brinkley shunned a typical Thanksgiving feast in favour of a vegan spread and zero sugar wine, while showcasing her iincredible table layout and posing in a Parisian-inspired look.    

To mark the big day, Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming shared a heartwarming throwback snap showing the star surrounded by his entire blended family, as she commented on the love in their home. 

In the image, he was seen with his five daughters – Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, nine, whom he had with Emma, plus Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 29, by his first wife Demi Moore, who was also presents.

His kids and both wives have rallied around Bruce, 68, as he suffers through a battle with dementia. Emma added a caption reading: ‘I’m grateful and thankful to know this kind of love. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving’.

Also in the snap was Scout’s boyfriend Jake Miller and Rumer’s love Derek Richard Thomas. At the time image was taken, Rumer was still pregnant with her and Derek’s daughter Louetta, whom she gave birth to in April. 

Lily Allen was showing off her Thanksgiving feast – including a deliciously bronzed turkey, however one of her followers felt it necessary to critique her cooking technique, leading to an accusation of ‘mansplaining’. 

The critic penned: ‘Nice job. You should try using a thermometer and pull it out at 165F. Looks a tad overdone’, to which Lily wrote: ‘I did and it was 165. it was perfect, thank you.’

One of her followers countered: ‘You got mansplained on your already perfect turkey’, to which the critic replied: ‘chefsplained actually but whatevs’.

It is one of the biggest holidays of the year with almost 300 million Americans dining on a turkey dinner with all the fixings like mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts.

Jennifer was seen making a Berry punch with her brand Delola. Earlier this month she shared what the holidays will be like with Ben and the kids.

‘I’ve always loved the holidays since I was a little girl, but I’ve really embraced them since I’ve had kids,’ said the former Fly Girl this week.

‘The baking cookies, decorations, dressing up, festive music, giving gifts, seriously I can’t get enough of it. But I love to spend the quality time with family for sure.’

Gisele Bundchen was seen praying as she wrote in her caption, ‘Each day, we have a new opportunity to improve ourselves, learn new things, feel love, and choose to be in a state of gratitude. These are some of the gifts of living your best life!

Allison Holker appeared on Instagram with her kids nearly one year after her late husband Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss took his life with a single gunshot wound.

The professional dancer grinned while dressed in an oatmeal-colored turtleneck sweater as she held her youngest child on her lap.

Rumer Willis beamed in a family photo with beau Derek Richard Thomas as she simply wrote in the caption that she’s ‘thankful.’

In one photo she showed her seven-month-old daughter Louetta’s back as she sat contently in front of a cozy fort made at home.

The group shot showed Thomas, who’s a musician, with his arms wrapped around Rumer, who flashed a megawatt smile.

There is also the tradition of watching the famed Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade from New York City. 

About 3 million people are expected to attend the 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan as the weather warms up and skies are clear.

Cher, Jessie James Decker, Ashley Park, Katharine McPhee and David Foster will all be there. 

Hailey Bieber showed off her plate of mashed potatoes. She also added a snap of her stuffing. 

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix enjoyed a chilled beverage in a snap shared to her Instagram Stories. 

Buffy The Vampire Slayer alum Sarah Michelle Gellar let her fanbase know how ‘Grateful’ she is for her dashing husband Freddie Prinze Jr., adding a heart emoji for good measure.

For the first time in its long history, The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin 30 minutes early in New York and on the official national broadcast. 

Showcasing an exciting lineup of featured character balloons, magical floats, the finest marching bands from across the country, dynamic performance groups, imaginative clowns, the nation’s biggest musical talents and the one-and-only Santa Claus, this is the nation’s premiere Thanksgiving celebration.

‘For nearly 100 years, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been synonymous with the beginning of the holiday season, celebration and togetherness,’ said Will Coss, Executive Producer of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The 97th Macy’s Parade lineup will include 5,000 volunteers, 16 featured character balloons, 26 fantastic floats, 32 heritage and novelty balloons, more than 700 clowns, 12 marching bands and nine performance groups. 

Joining these Macy’s Parade fixtures are some of the biggest stars in music, all welcoming in Santa Claus and the holidays.

Stars on 34th Street The Macy’s Parade is an all-star celebration, hosting iconic performers. For the 97th Macy’s Parade, the legendary star of music, film, stage and television, Cher, will perform a new holiday hit and kick off the season at 34th Street.

The broadcast will begin at 8:30 A.M., featuring a showstopping performance by Jon Batiste. Throughout the streets of New York City and on-board Macy’s signature floating stages will be exhilarating performances from artists including Bell Biv DeVoe; Brandy; Chicago; En Vogue; ENHYPEN; David Foster and Katharine McPhee; Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors; Jessie James Decker; Ashley Park with the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street; Pentatonix; Paul Russell; Amanda Shaw and Alex Smith; and Manuel Turizo. 

U.S. Olympic Silver Medalist Jordan Chiles (Gymnastics), U.S. Paralympian Ezra Frech (Track and Field), U.S. Paralympic Gold Medalist Jessica Long (Swimming) and Miss America 2023 Grace Stanke will also join the festivities. 

Taking flight on Thanksgiving will be the Parade’s signature character balloons. Since their introduction in 1927, these larger-than-life balloons showcase some of the world’s most beloved and iconic characters.

This year, seven new featured balloons will debut, including Beagle Scout Snoopy by Peanuts Worldwide; Blue Cat & Chugs by Cool Cats, a digitally native character; Kung Fu Panda’s Po by Universal Pictures’ Dreamworks Animation; Leo by Netflix, Inc.; Monkey D. Luffy by Toei Animation Inc.; Pillsbury Doughboy by Pillsbury; and Uncle Dan by Illumination.

The floating stages, along with their scheduled performers, include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem by Nickelodeon & Paramount (Bell Biv DeVoe); Palace of Sweets by Brach’s® (Brandy); Igniting Memories by Solo Stove(Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors); and The Deliciously Delectable World of Wonka by Warner Bros. Pictures.

The 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off from its traditional starting line at 77th Street and Central Park West at 8:30 A.M. The procession will march down its signature 2.5-mile route taking it from Central Park West to Columbus Circle, turning onto Central Park South and then marching down 6th Avenue/Avenue of the Americas. At 34th Street, the Parade will make its final turn west and end at 7th Avenue in front of Macy’s iconic Herald Square flagship.

Public viewing will be set up along designated portions of the route and managed by the NYPD. Spectators should avoid bringing large bags, umbrellas, backpacks, and strollers. A National Celebration Last year’s ‘Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade’ was the most-watched entertainment program of the 2022-23 season as it brings the nation together like no other broadcast. Parade fans nationwide can watch the official telecast on NBC and simulcast on Peacock, from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., in all time zones. The network will air an encore telecast at 2:00 P.M. ET/PT. New for 2023 will be several additional cameras along the route, giving viewers new Parade vantage points never seen before. ‘TODAY’s’ Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will join as hosts of the Emmy®-Award winning celebration. The Spanish language simulcast on Telemundo will be hosted by the network’s daytime personalities, Carlos Adyan and Andrea Meza.
