Sharon Osbourne will discuss her feud with her X Factor co-judge Dannii Minogue on Monday’s Celebrity Big Brother, 14 years after the pair’s historic clash on the ITV show.

The TV star, 71, has already made headlines worldwide with her outspoken viewing of stars including James Corden and her long-time co-judge Simon Cowell.

But on Monday’s episode, Sharon will discuss her history with Dannii, with a short clip of the exchange shown during Sunday’s episode of Late and Live.

The pair were judges together on The X Factor in 2007, but are said to have had a falling out over Dannii’s relationship with Simon. Sharon quit the show the following year.

David Potts asked Sharon if it was “awkward” working with Dannii on the show, and Louis Walsh added: “Wouldn’t we stand there, Sharon, and not talk to anyone?”

Laughing, Sharon said, “That was so damn hard,” and Louis admitted there was “a similar bad atmosphere every season.”

Sharon explained that during the live shows, as soon as the cameras started rolling, she grabbed Dannii’s hand and held it in the air.

“I grabbed her hand and went like that, when the doors opened, and she tried to let go, but I pushed her up,” she said.

But Sharon appeared to have put her feud with Dannii behind her, saying: ‘Yes, she’s fine, she’s fine.’

Sharon and Dannii Minogue made no secret of their dislike for each other during their time together on X Factor as they became embroiled in a public row.

Dannii revealed at the time that Sharon berated her in her dressing room, reducing her to tears just minutes before she was due to appear on stage.

After Dannii joined the show, stories circulated in the press about how Sharon was completely distraught that Dannii had been appointed a judge and feared this meant she herself was on her way out.

She stormed into Dannii’s dressing room and accused the Australian singer of speaking negatively about her to the press, shouting: ‘I don’t need this! “I’m a mom, do you think I need all this shit in my life?”

In 2013, Sharon spoke out about the feud when she branded the time she spent with Dannii on the ITV1 talent show as ‘excruciating’, ‘unbearable’ and ‘an odious chore’.

In an extract from her new book Unbreakable, published in The Sun, she said: ‘Outwardly, Dannii was all: “Ooh, I love children and puppies”. But in my opinion she was dark, very dark. What you saw was definitely not what you got.”

After leaving The X Factor, Sharon told Piers Morgan on his Life Stories that she couldn’t work with Dannii.

She said: ‘I didn’t hate her, because hate is very close to love and takes a lot of emotion, and I don’t have that time for her.

“She was like an insect, a mosquito that wouldn’t go away.”

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1, followed by Late and Live at 10pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

A TikTok star has revealed she is quitting being a full-time influencer to apply for corporate jobs after realizing she had become 'self-obsessed'.

Ana Wolfermann, who currently lives in New York, started posting on social media in 2020 and turned it into her full-time career after graduating from the University of Notre Dame in May 2023.

The 22-year-old influencer has now amassed nearly a million followers on her TikTok account by posting lifestyle, travel and advice videos.

She even recently attended a Galentine's Day slumber party with Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown and is often given branded getaways as gifts.

But after almost a year of being a full-time 'influencer', Ana has revealed that her dream has not lived up to expectations and has started writing cover letters for corporate jobs.

TikToker Ana Wolfermann revealed why she's quitting her full-time job as an influencer to become a 'corporate girly'

Ana posted on TikTok and told her followers in a video: 'Let's talk about why, I'm a little nervous today, I've made the decision that I don't want to be a full-time influencer.

“First of all, I'm tired of making everything about myself. My job requires me to look at myself, talk about myself, post myself, and respond to comments about myself. It's far too much of a self-obsessive activity.

“Number two, I don't feel like I'm learning anything new or being challenged. Yes, you learn how to get better at strategy and marketing… but I feel like that gets a little repetitive.

'I feel like since graduating and doing this full-time, I haven't done anything with my brain.

“Number three, having this as my full-time job has made me much more superficial. On TikTok you have to talk in short sentences. I have learned not to elaborate on my idea further, while years of my academic life have taught me to elaborate on points.

'I spend all my time talking about myself, taking pictures of myself and editing myself. That's not the life I want to live.'

Ana went on to explain that she would still post online, but she would do so alongside a full-time job as a 'corporate girly'.

Despite social media being her main source of income, she hopes to become a more well-rounded person by taking on a regular job.

Ana, 22, explained that constantly thinking about herself on social media had made her

Ana, 22, explained that constantly thinking about herself on social media had made her “obsessed with herself”

She later posted an update video on Monday, captioning it, “Deromanticizing your dream of being a full-time influencer because there are SO many better ways to use your time.”

The Venezuelan-American social media star said she spent the weekend writing job applications and even landed her first interview.

Ana realized how much it had impacted her life after a three-day trip to Chicago during which she stopped posting on social media for the first time in three years.

She explained, “That was the first time in three years that I was able to go on vacation without worrying about not being productive.

'It was liberating. Most of the time my time is split between my existence and posting about my existence. I lived during this journey.'

She added that she read Sally Rooney's Normal People in just two days, saying: 'I liked it! I understand why people do the whole reading thing.”

Her video 'three reasons why I'm quitting as a full-time influencer' has now been viewed 1.6 million times on TikTok.

Many of her fans were positive about seeing a different perspective than usual from an influencer, with one commenting, “As a consumer of content, I think influencers are so much more relatable to me when they have a job outside of their content!”

Many of Ana's fans supported her, but others doubted how she would last in the business world

A second added: “This is so self-aware,” while a third said: “I've never heard another content creator talk about this.”

Others were more doubtful about how Ana would react once she actually found a job.

A TikTok commenter added, “Girl, I promise this job is so much better than corporate America. You'll understand once you start a real job.'

And someone said on Twitter: 'Would be curious to hear her thoughts after a year of 9-5 (if she lasts that long) lol.'

Sajjan Singh Verma has said that both Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath will not switch to the BJP.

Indore: Kamal Nath's confidante Sajjan Singh Verma on Monday dismissed reports that the veteran Congress leader is considering a switch to the BJP, saying the question of whether the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister would quit the party in which he spent over 40 years was not up to is the order.

Verma said that both Kamal Nath and his son Nakul Nath are not switching over to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and claimed that the latter will contest the Lok Sabha polls, likely to be held in April-May, from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh if the Congressional candidate. His comments came amid growing speculation that Kamal Nath and his Lok Sabha MP son Nakul Nath might switch to the ruling BJP.

Sajjan Singh Verma talks to reporters

Speaking to reporters after meeting Nath at his residence here, Verma said he had a detailed discussion with the Congress veteran, who told him that he would soon hold a meeting in Bhopal to promote the success of the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra to ensure.

“He (Nath) told me that 'I will call all Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee executives and discuss the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. I asked about the media speculation about him, to which he said, 'Why should I answer an imaginary question?'” Verma said.

“I don't think I need to answer such imaginary questions. I have not told any media person that I would leave the Congress or compromise with the BJP. In that case I would have answered, but why would I answer an imaginary question?” Nath was quoted by Verma as asking.

He said that the question of whether Nath would leave the grand old party is not an issue.

“It is futile to think that the person who worked with Indiraji, Rajivji and Sanjayji, who is referred to as the third son of Indira (Gandhi), will leave the party. How can someone who spent 40 years in Congress go anywhere?” asked Verma.

Kamal Nath arrives in New Delhi

Nath arrived in Delhi on Saturday afternoon and during his brief interaction with reporters here, he asked them not to get excited. When asked if he was joining the BJP, Nath said, “If such a thing exists, I would inform you first.” An astute politician, Nath has worked with three generations of the Gandhi family. In 1979, then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi described him as her third son.

Nath is said to be unhappy over not getting a Rajya Sabha berth and Rahul Gandhi is said to be angry with him since the Congress suffered a defeat in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections late last year.

Nath was replaced as chief of the party's Madhya Pradesh unit after its defeat in the Assembly polls in which the BJP retained power and won 163 seats in the 230-member House. The Congress managed to win only 66 seats.

Following Jordan's big announcement, it was revealed that Jamie Laing, 35, will take his place – Monday to Thursday, 3.30pm to 6pm – alongside radio co-host Vick Hope.

From March 4, the former Made In Chelsea star will permanently replace the presenter, who has recently become an avid podcaster.

Abbie insisted she was 'happy' with her decision and looking forward to the future.

Abbie insisted she was 'happy' with her decision and looking forward to the future. “I just need to put my energy into projects that bring me joy and that energize me, rather than exhaust me,” she explained at the time.

The Masked Singer judge also said she wanted to make room for newcomers to the radio industry to have a seat at the table.

“It's also time to give someone else an opportunity who would value and appreciate this opportunity more than myself. I have so much on, and daily radio takes up so much of my time. “I just wasn't having a good time in that environment every day,” she said.

Abbie emphasized that it was solely her decision to end the show and insisted that her podcast would still be hosted by the network.

A BEAUTY enthusiast has shared the reasons why she is taking a break from the pricks and needles to look younger.

She said stopping Botox offers even more anti-aging benefits.

A TikTok user known as theskincarediarist (@theskincarediarist) is “unapologetically obsessed” with skin care.

She shared in one video how she plans to look younger by 2024 without fillers or neuromodulators.

“I think we should take a Botox break in 2024, and my prediction is that many of us will look younger,” she said.

“Think about when someone has their cast removed and that limb is much smaller due to muscle atrophy. Well, it's the same with your face,” she explained.

“If you use Botox repeatedly for years, those muscles atrophy.”

She wrote in the video's caption that in our quest to smooth facial wrinkles, we can end up looking older due to sagging due to muscle atrophy.

This can lead to skin thinning or discoloration, all possible unintended consequences of long-term use of neuromodulators.

She used two common injection sites as good examples: Masseter, or jaw, Botox, and a Botox for the forehead.

When it comes to chewing Botox, when this muscle begins to atrophy and shrink in size, you may notice “spasms” in the front of your mouth because you have lost this muscle support.

“Additionally, this muscle on your forehead will begin to shrink and weaken, and as a result you will notice drooping eyebrows and eyelids,” she said.

Besides her chin, she said she's taking a long break from all muscle-freezing injections and waiting to see if the Botox break produces a “more youthful face.”

“I'm curious to see what I looked like with my muscles fully formed because I've been using Botox continuously for ten years,” she said.

There were conflicting opinions in the comments section regarding her statement.

“A renowned French plastic surgeon said twice a year should be the maximum. You need to let your muscles rebuild,” said one viewer.

Oh, I tried this for a year because of budget…I can confirm, I did NOT look younger,” another added.

“My skin is introducing more laser facials and also encouraging less tox. Many new lasers can tighten/reduce wrinkles with longer lasting results and less money,” another agreed.

“Yes! I'm taking a break right now, and I'm shocked I feel like it looks so much better! Especially my eyes!” said a woman.

A smart 18-year-old carpenter transformed his parents' garage into his first apartment, and now he's turning it into a business.

In a series of impressive videos, Lewis Tattersall, 18, from Sheffield, took to his TikTok channel: @lewistattersall._to share the garage renovation process.

His latest video showed the final layout and stylish finishes, complete with a kitchen, double bed and marble-tiled bathroom, racking up almost four million views.

Lewis captioned the clip: “Everything was done by me according to building regulations and planning has gone through.

He added: 'Anyone interested in converting their garage or anything like that, I'm taking jobs for the new year so drop me a message…'

After completing a two-year internship, Lewis is now self-employed and has been documenting the renovation process online since August.

To start the process, Lewis removed the garage's old roof and replaced it with a new vaulted roof.

He then removed the garage door and, with the help of a mason, filled in the bottom half and left the top open for a window.

He then hired a plumber and an electrician to run pipes and wires through the floor before insulating and installing the floor.

In another clip, the 18-year-old revealed how he built retaining walls, installed a kitchen and bathroom and added wooden floors.

He then installed the windows themselves by cutting out the window board and installing brackets, adding expanding foam underneath to ensure a secure fit.

Once the building was completed, Lewis proved his interior design skills and created a chic, modern space by adding spotlights, plants and a sofa bed.

In the comments, Lewis revealed that his parents paid for the materials, but in return he completed all the work in his spare time and plans to pay the rent, electricity and water bills.

Many were so impressed by the garage conversation that they rushed to the comments to praise Lewis.

One person said: 'Not only did you do this, but you also added value to your parents' house! Congratulations man, great job.'

Another asked: 'How long did it take mate who's sick.'

Lewis replied, “Six or seven months, working on it for a few hours in the evenings after work until dark, and then on the weekends.”

Someone else said: 'Wow, as a mother of an almost 18 year old, so well done, I'm even proud of you.'

A fourth wrote: 'Well done for having determination and a good head on your shoulders at 18, imagine what you will achieve in your 20s/30s…be super proud.'

And his renovation project has proven very popular – many have asked Lewis to come and complete the work on their own homes.

It's a smart way for the teen to move and gain some independence while managing to save money during the cost of living crisis.

The 2021 census found that more than half of people aged 23 and under are still living at home with their parents, while the average UK house price is £288,000, according to the Office For National Statistics.

Love Island’s Jake Cornish has broken his social media silence after quitting the villa.

The reality star abruptly decided to leave the All Stars series after just two days on the show, and on Thursday he took to Instagram Stories to reveal he was preparing to board his flight home.

Jake previously revealed that he quit the villa as it wasn’t the ‘right time’ for him to find love, after coming face-to-face with his ex Liberty Poole on the show.

But the star appeared to brush off his early departure while waiting at the airport, writing on his Stories: ‘Love to you all. Home time.’

In a statement Jake said he didn’t want to ‘force a connection’ on Love Island, and so decided to leave the show.

He said in a statement: ‘After a few amazing days in the villa, I’ve made the decision to leave ‘Love Island: All Stars’ as I’ve realised that now isn’t the right time for me to find love as I would never want to force a connection.’

Despite his short stint in the villa, Jake insisted he has ‘no regrets’ from his time on the brand-new spin-off show.

Jake had an awkward reunion with his ex Liberty Poole in the villa.

The pair – who were affectionately known as Jiberty when they became an item in 2021 – were early favourites to win series seven, but their relationship fell apart following a dramatic Movie Night episode, and they ended up walking from the series just four days before the final.

But Jake has now admitted living alongside Liberty again on ‘Love Island: All Stars’ gave him an ‘opportunity to clear the air’ with her.

He added: ‘I have no regrets whatsoever as I’m so glad I got to enjoy my time in the villa reuniting with some familiar faces as well finally getting an opportunity to clear the air with Liberty.

‘I wish her and all of the other Islanders the very best and will be cheering them all on from home.’

On Wednesday, Jake announced his departure from the show to his fellow Islanders, leaving Liberty stunned.

He said: ‘I don’t want to waste time. I don’t want to give my energy to someone if it’s forced, if it’s fake.

‘So just to let you know, I’m going to leave tonight.’

He added: ‘I love you all, that means you’ve all got to have fun and find love. Just because I haven’t doesn’t mean you lot can’t.’

Liberty exclaimed: ‘Oh, Jake!’, as she and the rest of the group jumped up and rushed to give him a hug.

As Liberty and Jake were seen walking off for a chat, Demi said: ‘I think Libs feels a little bit responsible but I told her it’s not her responsibility.’

As the pair sat together by the fire pit, Liberty burst into tears, prompting Jake to say: ‘Don’t get upset! What are you getting upset for?’

Referring to their past relationship, she said: ‘I know what happened, happened three years ago but you’ve honestly matured so much and I just feel like I just wanted you to have a good chance at finding love as well.’

Jake said: ‘You’ve definitely matured as well. I just can’t fake things for the sake of it. I just can’t do it.

‘So I thought the best thing for me to do is take myself out of the situation. I’ve had a wicked time.’

Jake continued: ‘I hope you find someone in here because there’s going to be plenty of people that walk through that door.’

Referring to her decision to leave the Love Island villa just days before the final when she was first on the show and coupled-up with Jake in 2021, Liberty told him: ‘It’s weird to think that three years ago I was leaving being true to myself and now you’re doing the same thing.’

The pair hugged before Jake made his way to the front door of the villa where he was surrounded by his fellow Islanders as he made his way out.

Jake reportedly decided he ‘couldn’t stay’ after the public voted for the exes to be coupled up together.

‘Jake was really shocked to see Liberty in the villa – they had no idea the other person would be there,’ a source told The Sun

‘It was clear from the start they wouldn’t get back together, then none of the girls wanted to step forward for him.

‘Jake had a nice three days in the villa and had a very emotional chat to Maya Jama, he couldn’t stay in the villa so he quit the show. It’s not his time and it’s not the right time to find love.’

Jake and Liberty were among 12 former Islanders who appeared on the new spin-off show. The series sees past contestants head into the villa to try to find love once more.

Ahead of her re-entry, Liberty admitted it might be ‘awkward’ coming across her ex and seemingly shut down the possibility of any rekindled romances.

She got a nasty surprise when – not only was she was faced with her ex-boyfriend Jake – but the public voted for them to form a couple.

Liberty revealed they hadn’t spoken for three years and could only say ‘oh my God’ as she saw him walk through the villa.

They were quick to shoot down any possibility of rekindling the romance when asked by show host Maya Jama.

When Maya asked: ‘Is there any room for a rekindle do we think?’ both Liberty and Jake immediately shook their heads and in unison replied: ‘No.’

The pair shared a turbulent relationship on the show in 2021, with Liberty falling hard and fast for Jake, but her feelings seemingly not being reciprocated.

The couple became the first to become official in series seven.

However, during the Casa Amor loyalty test, Jake was seen encouraging his male co-stars to play away from their partners.

Love Island: All Stars continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? I’m a lot more confident in who I am and sure about exactly what I want from a relationship. I just want to have fun and meet a lovely boy.

How will you feel if you come across an ex in the Villa or someone you’ve dated from the show since appearing? It’s always going to be awkward isn’t it, it’s always going to be weird seeing someone that you’ve been with getting with someone else. I wish my exes nothing but the best. I’m going to be focused on my own journey.

Kaz Kamwi

AGE: 29

SERIES: 7

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? To be totally honest, I actually really want to find love.

I had a great time last series but I want to have an even better time.

How will you feel if you come across an ex in the Villa or someone you’ve previously dated from the show? The thing is, I’m a bad b*tch so I will handle it with as much grace as I can.

Georgia Harrison

AGE: 29

SERIES: 3

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? This is the last year of my 20s so I want to go in the Villa and have some fun and hopefully meet someone that I can fall in love with. I’m lucky in the sense that I’ve got everything in my life that I could possibly wish for, apart from love.

If you had to pick your top Islanders from Series 1 to 10 to couple up with who would they be and why? Chris Taylor, he’s hilarious and the main thing I’m attracted to is a man who can make me laugh. What a fun guy and like I said, I’m looking for someone to TikTok with so I reckon he’d be game for that sort of stuff!

Demi Jones

AGE: 25

SERIES: 6

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? I lost a lot of confidence with my health issues over the last couple of years but I’ve been smashing the gym this year, finding my confidence again and I’ve got it back. So, let’s find a man!

How will you feel if you come across an ex in the Villa or someone you’ve dated from the show since? It will be interesting to see if old flames get reignited. Naturally with Love Island paths are very much crossed and believe me, I have some paths!

Hannah Elizabeth

AGE: 33

SERIES: 1

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? I’m returning to the Love Island Villa because I did it eight years ago and what an opportunity I never thought I’d get again. I’m not very good at finding love but I had a ball the first time, so I’m going to have a ball again.

You got engaged on the show last time, do you think wedding bells could be on the cards again this time round? Absolutely not, not in the Villa no. Maybe when I get out, but I’d need to give it a bit of time.

Georgia Steel

AGE: 25

SERIES: 4

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? I’m 25, I have a house, a cat, a nice car – I have everything in life but a boyfriend, so why not give it as go.

You’ve been brave and honest in opening up about being conned by a former partner. How has this experience impacted the way in which you now approach dating?

I take that experience as a really positive reflection now. I look at it as something I had to go through to make me stronger and learn things in life for me to be able to learn what I want in my next partner.

Molly Smith

AGE: 29

SERIES: 6

Jake Cornish

AGE: 26

SERIES: 7

How will you feel if you come across an ex in the Villa or someone you’ve dated from the show since appearing? Well there is only one and that’s Liberty. We never ended with any bad blood between us and everything happens for a reason. We just become two different people in the end.

What will you do differently this time round? When it comes to people’s opinions, I don’t sit on the fence anymore. That is my way of life now, so I will take that into the Villa.

Toby Aromolaran

AGE: 24

SERIES: 7

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? If I’m Single and Love Island is an opportunity for me, how could you turn down the chance to find love again?!

You were in a long term relationship with Chloe Burrows, what do you think her reaction will be when she hears you are going into the Villa? I don’t know how she would take it. We will always have love for each other and I think she would wish me the best of luck, as I would certainly do the same.

Chris Taylor

AGE: 33

SERIES: 9

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? Last time I was only there for 15 days, so I want to do it and enjoy it all again. I am 33 now and getting on a bit – I am getting ear hair! It would be nice to have a girl to keep my ears trimmed for me!

How did the Barbie Movie come about? I was invited to an afterparty by Margot Robbie and then ended up at an after party with her. I started to panic and make conversation with her, just having really stupid chats. All I can assume is that my silly chat made an impression on Margot Robbie. 18 months later I got an email from Warner Brothers.

Luis Morrison

AGE: 29

SERIES: 1

Why are you returning to the famous Love Island Villa? It was the best experience of my life. I found love in the Villa before and who knows if I can find love in there again?

What will you do differently this time round?

I’m a lot older and wiser, so I know what I am getting myself into. I don’t have a game plan at all – I am an open book so I will go with the flow and see what happens.

Anton Danyluk

AGE: 29

SERIES: 5

Why are you returning to the Love Island Villa? For me it was a no brainer. I got the call and it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and probably the best summer I have ever had in my life. Getting the chance to do it twice is going to be unbelievable.

Why do you think the Love Island Villa is the perfect place to find love?

I think this time with Love Island: All Stars, things will be different, as we all understand what it’s like to go on Love Island and the only thing now missing is finding a partner.

Mitchel Taylor

AGE: 27

SERIES: 10

Why are you returning to the Love Island villa? I think I went in with my heart on my sleeve the first time and got hurt and this time I am just going in to enjoy myself and if a connection happens, a connection happens.

In the summer you were given the name ‘Messy Mitch’, and a name that you have taken on as your own,  can we expect more of the same in the series? I’ll be honest, I don’t really plan on being ‘Messy Mitch’. It just depends on what day of the week it is. I wear my emotions on my sleeve and what you see is what you get. I am very honest and very opinionated and I think that’s what people like me for.

Vivek Ramaswamy, the 38-year-old entrepreneur and political newcomer who briefly made waves with brash policy proposals and an outsized sense of confidence, dropped out of the race for the Republican nomination for the White House after a disappointing fourth-place finish in Iowa. caucuses.

He then immediately endorsed former President Donald J. Trump for the White House.

“We didn't achieve the surprise we wanted to deliver tonight,” he said Monday evening in Des Moines.

Mr. Ramaswamy, who financed much of his campaign of a personal fortune made in biotechnology and finance, was at one point an unlikely contender. He clung closely to Mr. Trump, vowing to support him even if he were convicted of crimes, promising to pardon him if elected to the White House, and saying he would voluntarily remove his name from the ballot in states that managed to defeat Mr. Trump. Trump was removed from the ballot as an “insurrectionist” disqualified by the Constitution.

Then, two days before the Iowa caucuses, Trump's campaign turned on him, declaring him a fraud, and the former president — after months of heat toward his potential rival — demanded that voters reject Mr. Ramaswamy and would vote for him.

By then, the Harvard-educated Mr. Ramaswamy had increasingly embraced apocalyptic conspiracy theories; spoke of a “system” that would ban Mr. Trump from office and install a “puppet,” Nikki Haley; called the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol an “inside job” orchestrated by federal law enforcement; and began trafficking in the racist theory of “replacement,” which falsely states that Democrats import immigrants of color to replace white people.

The theory, which has fueled white supremacist frenzies in Buffalo, New York, Pittsburgh and El Paso, Texas, “is not some grand right-wing conspiracy theory,” he said in a Republican primary debate, “but a fundamental statement of the Democratic Party platform.”

Mr. Ramaswamy's opening gambit was to say that, with his superior knowledge of the Constitution and civil service laws, he would take Mr. Trump's America First agenda further than the former president ever could.

That would mean immediately eliminating the Department of Education, the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service by executive order, cutting the federal workforce by 75 percent through mass layoffs without congressional approval, and cutting America's foreign military obligations must be reversed, first in Ukraine but eventually. in Israel and Taiwan.

His isolationist foreign policy gave rivals a ripe target to attack him, but his bleak vision of millennials and Gen Z voters “starved for purpose, meaning and identity,” with a black hole in their hearts, found surprising resonance among older voters.

He used the debate stage to clash fiercely with Republican rivals for the nomination who wasn't named Trump, mocking Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for saying his boots were high heels and calling Ms. Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, a stooge for China and the defense industry, and labeling the entire field as pawns of the wealthy backers of their super PACs. He even called the Republican Party a “party of losers.”

Such tactics initially lent surprising appeal to a businessman who had never held elective office and was known only to a small segment of the electorate familiar with his books denouncing “Woke Capitalism” and investing strategies focused on ecological progress and social consciousness . He impressed at the Iowa State Fair while rapping to a recording of his idol Eminem.

His support among Republican primary voters in national polls peaked at 11.6 percent on the day of the first Republican debate, putting him in third place, just behind DeSantis and well ahead of the rest of the field.

But he returned to the pack when his efforts to grab attention and his tendency to stretch the truth drew caustic responses from his rivals and appeared to irritate voters. During the second Republican primary debate, in September, Ms. Haley told Mr. Ramaswamy, “Every time I hear you, I feel a little dumber.”

During the third debate in November, Ms Haley called Mr Ramaswamy “just scum” after he accused her of hypocrisy towards China because her daughter used the Chinese social media platform TikTok.

By then, Ms. Haley had overtaken Mr. Ramaswamy for third place in the national polls. His dogged campaign in New Hampshire, where he jumped to second place in late summer, lost its magic. He swamped Iowa with the vast majority of events — rallies, roundtables, podcasts and interviews with seemingly anyone with a microphone — but couldn't regain the height.

Mr. Ramaswamy had privately told his supporters that his strategy was to stick with Mr. Trump in the hope that the former president's numerous legal battles would force him out of the race — and Mr. Ramaswamy would be the logical next choice for the most ardent followers. By the end of September, he had contributed nearly $17 million of his own money.

But with Mr. Trump making clear that even a conviction would not force him out of the race, Mr. Ramaswamy's strategy and self-financing proved unsustainable.
