THIS is the nerve-wracking moment Vladimir Putin’s manned space rocket launch was aborted within seconds.

The Russian Soyuz spacecraft was almost ready to take off towards the International Space Station when a technical problem set off alarm bells.

Smoke could be seen billowing from beneath the rocket as it prepared to blast into space, with personnel having already evacuated the area.

But with just 20 seconds to go, it was announced that “an automatic launch abort has been initiated.”

The technical glitch was spotted with seconds remaining in the launch capsule, prompting space chiefs to immediately pull the plug on the mission.

The three-man crew – two women and one man – were safely evacuated from the rocket, narrowly avoiding disaster.

“The reason was a voltage drop in the chemical power source,” said Yuri Borisov, head of the Russian space agency.

“The automation worked during launch control and prevented the spacecraft’s systems from malfunctioning.

“The crew is safe, left the rocket and went to take off their spacesuits.”

The explosion has now been moved to Saturday afternoon.

The crew included NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson, 54, along with Belarus’ first female cosmonaut, Marina Vasilevskaya, 33.

Vasilevskaya is normally a flight attendant for Belavia airline and flies on Boeing and Embraer aircraft.

Watch the moment Japan’s space rocket explodes in massive fireball moments after takeoff in a failed satellite launch

Before that, she was a professional ballroom dancer for 15 years.

The commander is Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, 52.

“Colleagues, the space is like this and the situation is very understandable,” said Borisov, who spoke to Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko to explain why Vasilevskaya was still on the ground.

But the aborted launch is highly unusual.

In the history of modern Russia, manned launches have never been canceled while the crew was already in a spacecraft, TASS news agency reported.

In the USSR this happened only once, when the launch of the Soyuz-4, manned by cosmonaut Vladimir Shatalov, was aborted in 1969.

However, in 2018, a rocket functioned and shot into space at a speed of 7,790 km/hour.

Two astronauts miraculously survived an emergency landing after the rocket boosters of Russia’s Soyuz MS-10 failed at 160,000 feet shortly after takeoff from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Russia’s latest rocket launch comes after plans were announced jointly with China to place a nuclear reactor on the moon within ten years.

With the space race intensifying, the two countries hope to install the unit by 2035.

Putin would also like to put his own space station in the sky.

The former spy said in October that the first segment of Russia’s new space station should be fully operational in 2027.

But a bombshell warning from US intelligence last month suggested that Russia could be planning to launch a satellite-destroying weapon armed with a nuclear bomb into space.

Mad despot Putin has already tested orbital weapons designed to destroy Western equipment, such as the Cosmos 2543 anti-satellite weapon.

Whatever happens, Putin hopes his next space launch will be more successful than last year’s Russian Luna-25 disaster.

The country’s first moon mission in fifty years ended in catastrophic failure when Putin’s robotic spacecraft went out of control and crashed.

The 800 kg Luna-25 probe was shattered into pieces when it crashed onto the surface from space.

It doesn’t take a genius to point out the towering warm-weather trees and thatched huts surrounded by a border fence.

Even the birds flying against a stark white background are likely to be spotted quickly and without any problems.

This illusion requires out-of-the-box thinking and an open perspective to see the secret pachyderm hidden in the lake. clear image features.

The speed with which you can recognize the elephant may indicate certain desirable character traits.

Original maker YouTube channel Bright Side revealed that finding the animal indicates a caring personality.

“If you don’t see a village other than an elephant at first glance, you are respectful to others, loyal to your friends and a good listener,” a narrator explains in the video.

“You are loving, caring and thoughtful and that is why so many people love you.”

An earlier American Sun poll showed that a very small percentage of people noticed the village first.

Only 5.7% of respondents saw the elephant first, while 8.1% saw both the village and the elephant at the same time.

The majority of participants only viewed the village: 71.6%.

ILLUSION SOLUTION

The trick to this illusion may be managing your expectations.

Instead of looking for a hyper-realistic animal, keep in mind that the style of the illusion is minimalist, and so will the elephant.

Then notice that there are no clear lines that would create the likeness of the elephant and remember that the negative space, the white area, is the only space where the animal can hide.

Benefits of brain teasers and optical illusions

Researchers have developed many tests to show how different areas of the brain respond to brain teasers and optical illusions. There are many advantages.

  • Not only are they entertaining, but they also shed light on how our brains interpret visual data.
  • By regularly exercising your brain a little, you increase your ability to focus and observe details.
  • Research has shown that people who regularly challenge themselves with optical illusions and puzzles see major improvements in their problem-solving skills, concentration and attention.
  • Better concentration and attention span can help prevent cognitive decline in old age.
  • Optical illusions can improve vision by allowing you to see small print.

EVERYONE can see the creek in this game, but can you see wildlife?

There is a deer hiding in the woods somewhere and you have to find it.

The clock is ticking and you have less than ten seconds to discover the hideout.

If you are successful in this hunting mission, congratulate yourself.

It means you have 20/20 vision and a high level of visual acuity.

You’ve outsmarted everyone and hid the deer in plain sight.

This brainteaser comes from the Deer Hunting Guide.

Written by deer hunters for deer hunters, it is the number one source for deer and deer hunting information.

They are a team of experienced hunters and experts.

They share their in-depth hunting knowledge with their readers.

Their eyes are attuned to movements in a forest.

But the challenge is to see whether you also have those skills.

This image is known as a brainteaser, which means that there are other, not so obvious elements to be found.

It just adds to the confusion and challenge.

Everyone can see the family, but you’ll have 20/20 vision and a high IQ if you find the hidden astronomer in 12 seconds

The setting is a dark forest. The only hint of color is a creek running through it.

The deer is well camouflaged against the green canopy.

Perhaps you would like a clue to help you in your search.

Study the center of the photo and then look to the right.

Still don’t see it? Check out the solution below.

If you succeeded: congratulations. My condolences if it didn’t work this time.

But don’t give up, we have many more challenges to train your brain.

There are puzzles for all ages, abilities and levels of patience.

How about doing this task?

Everyone can discover the leaves between the beautiful flowers.

Do you see the clover among the flowers?

But you need 20/20 vision to see the clover in less than nine seconds.

This mind-boggling optical illusion has left even the most seasoned puzzle solvers baffled.

While it may seem like a common sight, this is not an easy task, and the average person gives up after a minute.

You’re more likely to make mistakes if you try to rush it, so check every square inch of the image.

If you need help, you can split the image into different sections.

Narrow your search even further and focus on the top right corner.

At the bottom of this section you will find what you are looking for.

“Viewers seeing this screen for the first time invariably do not see the 16 circles segmented from the background,” the illusion creator wrote. Anthony Norcia in 2006.

“Instead, they see a series of rectangles that they often describe as ‘door panels,’” he explained.

Also known as coffers, these are recessed panels often found on the ceiling.

Cases are often shaped like a square, rectangle or octagon and decorate famous structures such as the Pantheon in Rome, Italy.

“The illusion pits segmentation signals against what appears to be a very strong prior, then interprets the image as a series of three-dimensional ‘suitcases’ with closed boundaries,” Norcia wrote.

  • Better concentration and attention span can help prevent cognitive decline in old age.
  • Optical illusions can improve vision by allowing you to see small print.

Norcia used both horizontal and vertical lines that easily blend into the background, making it difficult to see all the circles.

The lines also have different thicknesses and shades of gray, making it difficult to focus.

Set a timer for 15 minutes to find the 16 circles and prove your high IQ.

Once you train your eyes to recognize the circles, it will become easier to spot them.

If you found this illusion too easy, try this one for an extra challenge.

A SKIER may sound out of place on a beach, but a pair of skis may be harder to spot than you might expect among a sea of chairs.

Only eagle-eyed viewers can make out the red skis on this busy optical illusion on the beach in 15 seconds or less.

8

A pair of skis is hidden in this brainteaser

This sunny image, designed by an unknown artist, has been baffling viewers for years.

On the beach there are dozens of red and white striped chairs, back to back, interspersed with the occasional red and white parasol.

If you look even closer, you’ll see several small crabs crawling through the sand and even a few dolphins jumping in the background.

But do you see a little pair of red skis?

If you see them in 15 seconds or less, you may have 20/20 vision.

Long, thin and red – just like one of the chair’s stripes – the skis blend in perfectly with their surroundings.

If you’re having trouble, try looking for the most noticeable stripes to start with.

If you look at the bottom right corner of the image, it gets warmer.

Before kick-off in Lyon, there was planned to be a ten-second countdown timer, which was present in all Six Nations matches this year.

But France and the referee were a little too eager to get things going sharply.

France full-back Thomas Ramos sent the ball high into the air before the countdown had started, prompting the referee to order the teams to get back into position.

Gardner took full responsibility for the mistake and said, “Yes, sorry.

“I said there’s ten seconds left. Sorry guys, we have to wait for the time. There’s a countdown timer. We have to wait for the countdown timer and I have to blow my whistle.

“Wait for the countdown and we’re ready to go. Apologies.’

ITV commentator Nick Mullins was unimpressed by Gardner’s blunder and told the referee to “move on”.

He then joked: “It’s okay, it’s not live, we can take that bit out. It’s not a good start. Let’s just keep going, Angus. Blow your whistle and kick off.”

And the ten rounds he almost completed – before knocking out Kash Ali for the final time – were a heavy burden for boxing fans.

Ali threw a couple of wild haymakers in the opener, being launched from his boxing boots in Birmingham and landing in Solihull.

Joyce was much more measured, trying to take down his 34-year-old opponent by switching between his shaved head and body.

Joyce’s chin did get a tickle in the second, when he backed Ali into a corner and he lunged and gave him a haircut.

Fortunately, that counter punch and a follow-up punch bounced straight off the 2016 Olympic silver medalist.

Ali was negative and complained of rabbit punches, making it difficult for Joyce to find his rhythm in the first few rounds.

Joyce’s reach was still miles away in the third round, the 20th Juggernaut chopping into thin air too often and making Kash Ali look like Mohammed.

And round four was another worrying sign that Joyce might be in trouble after being clipped by a right and a left from the nonsensical opponent.

The middle rounds dragged on and sucked the atmosphere out of the arena in Birmingham.

Luckily Joyce was in good spirits for the seventh and chased Ali around the ring in an attempt to scythe him.

Watch Joe Joyce train for a comeback fight after turning down retirement

In the break before the ninth, Ali’s trainer – 44-year-old former pro Richard Towers – said: “I could beat him right now, but you’re hanging around.”

And it was a very honest assessment.

Ali was injured in round nine and it looked like it would be stopped as he had run out of ideas, energy and interest.

After another bite from Towers in the final break, Ali threw a pair of right hands and a left hook that landed.

But then he was knocked down and eliminated with a few seconds left.

iOS 17.4 is the latest version of the update, which is packed with surprising new features – as it was expected to be a mid-range update between iOS 17 and the highly anticipated iOS 18.

Apple decided to wow customers mid-year with a host of new features, including a nifty new battery saving setting, lock screen widgets, and new vibrations when using the keyboard.

However, the last pair of features was mentioned by CNET as being the two most important ones to disable if you’re trying to save your iPhone’s battery.

Remove lock screen widgets

When widgets are on your lock screen, the apps they belong to automatically run in the background.

This means that they are constantly collecting data behind the scenes to update the display information.

If you want to protect your battery life, don’t put widgets on your lock screen.

And if you really want to extend battery life, delete the apps on your home screen as well.

To remove widgets from your lock screen, long press the screen and click To adjust > Lock screen > tap the widget box and press minus (-) icon to delete them.

To do this on your home screen, simply long-press on the widget and tap Remote Widget.

Battery Tip: The ‘100% Myth’ That Drains Your Battery

Disable keyboard vibration

The iPhone keyboard has never had the ability to vibrate, so you probably don’t need it now.

The vibration is known as haptic feedback and was introduced with iOS 17 late last year.

All it does is give a little buzz when you type.

According to an apple support pagehaptic feedback “can affect your iPhone’s battery life.”

That’s probably why Apple left it up to you to enable it yourself.

If you want to disable it, just go to Institutions > Sounds and haptics > Keyboard feedback and switch off Haptic.

This mind-blowing optical illusion can reveal whether you have a high IQ if you can see the hidden details in the photo.

Sounds easy, right? But there’s a catch: you only have 20 seconds to identify them all.

At first glance, the mind-bending drawing is just a sketch of a black tree and its branches, against a white background.

However, there are five hidden animals in the monochrome image, which are harder to spot because the color has been removed.

To take on the challenge, simply set a timer for 20 seconds and cast your gaze between the branches.

This mind-blowing optical illusion can reveal whether you have a high IQ. All you have to do is discover some hidden details

If you can find all five animals before time runs out, you may have a higher IQ than most.

Challenging yourself with a visual teaser is a great way to engage your brain power and some of your senses.

However, if this has you scratching your head, here are a few pointers:

  • All five animals you are looking for are birds
  • Three are smaller and two are larger
  • On the left side of the tree are three animals

If you’re still struggling to find all the hidden creatures, stop scrolling now as the answers are revealed in the image below.

Revealed: The animals you had to spot were three smaller chicks and two roosters, which are now shaded orange so you can see them

The animals to spot were three smaller chicks and two roosters, which are now shaded orange so you can see them.

If you didn’t manage to solve the mind-boggling puzzle this time, don’t worry because there are many more brain teasers and illusions you can try.

Another optical illusion can reportedly reveal a person’s true personality depending on which animal he sees first.

The black and white photo, shared by Times nowshows both a cat and a mouse.

The test can show whether someone is independent and curious or has a more cautious personality.

Simply look at the image below and see which animal catches your attention first. Then read on to find out what it means.

The black and white photo, shared by Times Now, shows two animals – which one you see first will determine your greatest features

If your eyes have naturally wandered to the black cat, which is most of the image, it means that your personality traits are similar to those of the feline animal.

You are independent and curious, but also mysterious and playful.

Like most domestic cats, you are not dependent on others and prefer to do things yourself.

You are naturally curious and always looking to learn new things and ask more questions.

You switch easily between work and play and often lure others in with your mysterious personality.

If you saw the mouse first, which is smaller on the page, it means you are more careful.

You may be quite shy and reserved, but this does not mean that you are unaware of your surroundings.

Those who first saw the mouse are both observant and timid: they always look at what is happening around them.

You are also flexible and resourceful and know what to do when faced with problems and difficult situations.

A ‘paid to party’ influencer has had one of her TikTok videos banned by advertising watchdogs – after drinking four cocktails in less than 90 seconds.

Danielle Walsh, from Belfast in Northern Ireland, had made the video as a paid advertisement for drinks company VK.

However, she failed to identify it as an advertisement and it subsequently broke Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) rules about encouraging excessive drinking.

The party animal, who has more than 400,000 followers on TikTok, regularly posts videos of herself consuming alcoholic drinks and describing what she drinks before a night out.

Despite drinking a lot, Danielle says she never gets a hangover thanks to eating pickled onion chips and Diet Coke.

Danielle Walsh, 36, from Northern Ireland, had her TikTok banned by the ASA

She failed to identify the advert as an advertisement and subsequently breached Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) rules on encouraging excessive drinking.

She failed to identify the advert as an advertisement and subsequently breached Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) rules on encouraging excessive drinking.

The social media star was seen in the video making four cocktails for ‘pres’ by pouring a variety of alcohol for free, including vodka, peach schnapps, Amaretto and a whiskey liqueur.

After making them by mixing VK alcopops with various spirits, the 36-year-old aid worker announced her intention to ‘do four in one’ and downed all four drinks in less than a minute and a half.

The ASA has now banned the video because it encourages excessive drinking and is not clearly identifiable as an advertisement.

The regulator explained that the video showed Ms Walsh – who has her own line of metal straws that allow drinkers to “sip pints like an exhaust pipe” – standing behind a bar with a row of glasses in front of her as music played in the background. .

She turned to the camera and said, “So for the pres tonight I want to show you what we’re drinking.

“We’re going to do four in one because we’re going to get relief tonight.”

Mrs. Walsh then made four cocktails and said, “Let’s try it,” after making them all and drinking them quickly.

The cocktails combined different flavors of VK alcopops with vodka, peach schnapps, Amaretto and whiskey liqueur that were poured into the glasses ‘free’.

As they were being made, images appeared on the screen showing the ingredients of each cocktail, the name and the VK logo.

The text at the bottom of the video, which was posted in October 2023, read: ‘Lets make some drinkssss.’

ASA regulators complained that the video was ‘irresponsible’ because it encouraged excessive alcohol consumption, and was not clearly identifiable as an advertisement.

The ASA ruling stated that Global Brands Ltd, the company that owns VK, confirmed that they had provided Ms Walsh with the alcoholic drinks used in the advert in return for her promoting their brand on her TikTok channel.

They explained that they had asked Ms Walsh to create a series of videos showing the creation of each cocktail, rather than “one video showing four cocktails being made and consumed.”

They also claimed to have stipulated that their products would be promoted in a ‘responsible manner’ and had asked to approve the videos before they were posted.

On this occasion the company said this had not happened and that Ms Walsh had posted the videos without their final approval.

VK also accepted that the video should have been clearly labeled as an advertisement and said they had asked Ms Walsh’s agent several times to remove the video, although their requests had not been acknowledged.

Ms Walsh said VK had not paid her for the post and agreed to remove the video while it was investigated.

TikTok said alcohol advertising was banned on its platform and the ad had been removed by its creator.

ASA Rules for Social Media Advertising

Make sure the content is clearly recognizable: Marketers (and ‘publishers’) must pay particular attention to ensuring that marketing communications are clearly recognizable as such.

It may be that in some cases including a clear identifier (e.g. ‘#ad’ or similar) is the simplest way to achieve this

Please note differences between platforms: Marketers (and publishers) should ensure that content is clearly identifiable to all consumers who encounter the material prior to interacting, and should take into account any limitations and technical ‘quirks’ on the platform they are using (e.g. any limitations on the number of characters, how many are visible.

On Instagram, this means that hashtags cannot be ‘hidden’ on the last line of a long caption.

Please note that the rest of the Code applies: Because advertorial content falls within the scope of the CAP Code, all relevant rules will apply and must therefore, among other things, not materially mislead consumers or give rise to serious or widespread offences.

In another recent video, she mixed blue WKD with rose wine while loud music played in the background.

The ASA ruling states that the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code) states that advertisements must be ‘socially responsible’ and must not contain anything that could encourage people to adopt ‘unwise’ drinking styles .

The ruling added: ‘The ASA understood that ‘pres’ was a reference to ‘pre-drinking’ or ‘pre-drinking’, the practice of consuming alcohol at home before going to a pub, bar or club, where still more alcohol would be consumed. be consumed.

‘We understood that pre-drinking was often intended to achieve intoxication before visiting a licensed premises, and as such we considered that the reference to ‘pres’ in the advertisement implied that alcohol would be consumed in excessive quantities.

‘We understood that the word ‘lit’ has a long history as a slang term for being drunk.

‘We felt that consumers were likely to associate the phrase ‘we’re getting lit tonight’ with excessive alcohol consumption and getting drunk.

‘We also felt that the comment ‘We’re going to do four in one’ expressed Ms Walsh’s intention to drink four cocktails in one video, which further implied the excessive consumption of alcohol.

‘[Ms Walsh] did not measure any of the ingredients in the drinks; pouring the alcohol everywhere for free.

‘We noticed that the volume of “mixer” in each cocktail was minimal.

‘In addition, Ms Walsh drank each cocktail quickly after making it, consuming all four drinks in less than 90 seconds, demonstrating that excessive amounts of alcohol had been consumed in a short period of time.

‘Because the advertisement encouraged excessive drinking and indicated that alcohol was being handled and served irresponsibly, we concluded that this was irresponsible and therefore contrary to the Code.’

Subsequently, ASA also enforced a second breach of the CAP Code, stating that marketing communications must be ‘clearly identified as such’.

Regulators noted that while Ms. Walsh said she had not been paid by VK to make the video, VK had confirmed that they had “provided her with the products for free in exchange for her promoting their brand,” which she viewed as “as payment ‘.

She regularly posts videos of herself consuming alcoholic beverages and describing what she drinks before a night out (photo)

She regularly posts videos of herself consuming alcoholic beverages and describing what she drinks before a night out (photo)

“We therefore considered that VK had editorial control over the post, despite some of their requests being ignored by Ms Walsh,” the ASA ruling said.

‘We did not find that the recipe images made it clear that there was a commercial relationship between Ms Walsh and the VK brand.

‘Although Ms Walsh made frequent references to the VK brand in the video… the post was not clearly identifiable as a marketing communication and did not make its commercial intent clear.

The ASA concluded that the advert should not appear again in the same form and warned Global Brands Ltd and Ms Walsh against encouraging excessive alcohol consumption in future videos, and that these were clearly identifiable as advertisements.
