26, including pregnant woman, injured when bus crashed into tree at Hanumakonda in Telangana

Hyderabad: At least 26 people, including a pregnant woman, were injured after a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation bus hit a tree in Hanumakonda district on Sunday evening, news agency ANI reported. The incident took place when the bus, packed with passengers, was on its way from Warangal to Karimnagar and collided with a large tree at Hasanparthy police station limits in Hanumakonda district.

The injured were taken to hospital for treatment. According to police, “the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. The bus was traveling from Warangal to Karimnagar. The bus had a total of 55 passengers. 26 passengers were injured in the incident. One woman is in serious condition,” Kazipet Deputy Commissioner of Police David Raju said.
