Tiffany Haddish pleads not guilty to DUI charges in Los Angeles

Tiffany Haddish has pleaded not guilty a week after being charged in her DUI case in Los Angeles.

Counsel entered a not guilty plea on behalf of Haddish, 44, during a settlement on Wednesday, December 20. We weekly can confirm. Haddish was charged with two DUI offenses by the LA County District Attorney’s office earlier this month, and a hearing is scheduled for February 14, 2024.

Haddish was arrested for driving under the influence after he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel early in the morning of November 24. TMZ reported that law enforcement officers discovered Haddish stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive in LA, after which she was arrested and released. Her arrest came hours after she performed a Thanksgiving comedy at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood.

Later that day, Haddish dodged a question about her incident at another Laugh Factory performance. “Just tell me,” she told attendees during her performance, via audio obtained by TMZ. “I prayed to God to send me a man with a job, a career, preferably in uniform. God has answered my prayers.”

Haddish broke her silence about her DUI arrest — her second incident in two years — days later, recounting Entertainment tonight that she will “get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries.” She further noted that she was in “good spirits” and that an accident like “this will never happen again.” (She was previously arrested in Atlanta for drunken driving in January 2022 and was released on bail several hours later.)

The Haunted house actress was officially charged on December 13 with driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent. “Drink-driving poses an immediate threat to our community, with consequences that extend beyond individual actions to cause profound harm. including the devastating loss of life,” a representative of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said Us. “It is crucial for everyone to pause and consider the potential impact on others, especially during these holidays as many attend the celebrations with their loved ones.”

The statement continued: “We hope that Ms. Haddish takes these drunk driving allegations seriously and considers the well-being of everyone in our community moving forward.”

Amid her legal drama, Haddish has been sharing photos and videos from her tropical vacation in Hawaii with fans via Instagram. “I love being crazy on the black sand beach. I always wanted to do a swimsuit photo shoot,” she says subtitled snapshots of herself posing for funny photos in a royal blue swimsuit on Sunday, December 17. “This crazy one will do for now #Hana #hawaii #sheready.”

On Tuesday, December 19, Haddish showed off her beautiful view of one river and mountains in another Instagram upload. “Look what God did,” she said in a video.
