The 39-year-old ran a reality estate agency in Norwich with his wife Lucy.

However, his family became concerned when the father of three failed to show up for work.

Adam’s wife Lucy had died four months earlier after a five-year battle with breast cancer.

The family’s tribute at the hearing read: ‘Adam was loving, kind and caring; a loving, devoted father, son, brother and husband.

“He was very loved by everyone, he always had time for everyone and had many friends.

“Adam worked very hard, played hard and always took care of himself while working and going to the gym. Adam loved playing and watching sports. He especially enjoyed golfing.

“Adam was devoted to his wife Lucy during their eleven years together.

“Adam and Lucy were completely devoted to each other, and Lucy was everything to Adam.

“Lucy became ill with cancer and Adam supported Lucy through her long five-year battle with cancer.

“Adam was devastated when Lucy ultimately lost her battle with cancer and passed away.

“Adam said he didn’t know how to go on without her. He said he had lost his wonderful wife, best friend, his rock, and had become depressed.

“He didn’t seem to be able to accept help and he wasn’t himself.

“Adam was so devastated by the loss of his wife. He would say he didn’t know how to go on without Lucy. He just wanted to be with her. “
