With wedding season upon us, many of us will be trying to find the perfect dress to wear and doing our best not to bring the bride to the fore.

However, one woman decided the rules didn’t apply to her and wore a white dress to her own daughter’s wedding.

The proud mother of the bride has broken the internet with her wedding outfit after it was shared on Reddit late last year.

It’s hard to tell which woman is the blushing bride as both dresses are off-white and have intricate detailing on the bodices.

Only the most observant person would notice the cathedral-style veil the bride wore that perfectly contrasted her lace bodycon dress.

Posing on the right next one for her husband, the newlywed looked beautiful in her dress with romantic details such as a sweetheart neckline and delicate lace.

Meanwhile, on the left, her proud mother stands in an equally bridal outfit and is clearly inspired by her daughter.

Not only did her dress have a similar neckline and silhouette, it even had lace embellishments running down the center.

Unable to wear a veil on the big day, she instead opted for a cut-out cape that highlighted her hourglass frame, which was heavily decorated.

For those who had trouble knowing who was who, you’re not alone as Redditors were also confused and the original poster even had to point out who the bride was.

After uploading the image to the forum website, they wrote: “ MOTB in white! It literally looks like a double wedding to me… I just saw this on FB. MOTB is on the left… WHY?!”

Even with this caption, some users were still confused by the two women in white.

One Redditor even wrote: “I’m certainly not an expert, as I got married without any weddings. But to me, the dresses look so similar, and because the faces were blurred, I couldn’t tell who the bride was.

“Lol I tried to guess but I honestly couldn’t tell,” another user wrote, and they also added that the cape gave off “older vibes.”

Some even assumed the older woman was the groom’s mother because of her pose in the awkward photo.

‘Look at the hands. It’s 100% obvious (+ the cape leans a bit older too),” a third explained: “Not to mention the claw hold she has on her son. A person doesn’t like being replaced as ‘the woman’ in their life. Scary.”

Others were confused by the bride’s mother herwith some wondering if she was wearing a hat.

If you look closely, it looks like a fascinator with feathered locks who made her hair almost a foot taller than the bride.

“I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out if it’s her headpiece or a tree?” said a fourth, while a fifth claimed it reminded them of Vegas showgirls.

‘Zoom in, if it’s a tree, a very strange tree. “It also looks like a headpiece a Las Vegas showgirl would wear, but on a much smaller scale,” they joked.

We just hope the bride wasn’t as bothered by the headpiece and clothing as Redditors were.
