Prince Harry ends British trip without meeting Prince William

Prince Harry did not meet his brother, Prince William, during a roughly 24-hour trip to Britain after Buckingham Palace announced their father had cancer, an indication that relations between the siblings remain tense.

Harry, 39, flew to London on Tuesday and visited his father, King Charles III, for a short time but did not meet William, 41, the heir to the throne, according to a person familiar with their schedules.

The younger prince was spotted at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday and was expected to return to the United States soon BBC reported. The king's eldest son resumed his duties as Prince of Wales, holding a ceremony of honor at Windsor Castle and attending a charity fundraiser.

It was not known what Harry and King Charles, 75, discussed during a visit that lasted between 30 and 45 minutes to Clarence House, the king's London residence.

Ashley Hansen, the global press secretary for Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, declined to comment on the brothers' relationship or Harry's trip to London.

The brothers' relationship has long been closely scrutinized by the British press, dating back to their shared grief over the death of their mother, Princess Diana, and that scrutiny has increased since Harry and Meghan moved to California in 2020. in the same row at their father's coronation in May, just months after Harry published a memoir airing anecdotes about the intensely private family's life.

Harry was direct about his relationship with his brother in a 2022 Netflix documentary, “Harry & Meghan,” which chronicled the couple's lives from the time they started dating until their retirement from royal duties.

In the documentary, Harry suggested that William's press office spread negative stories about Meghan, causing a rift between the siblings.
