‘Winter House’ stars say Tom Schwartz is ‘in love’ with Katie Maloney
Tom Schwartz And Katie Maloney finalized their divorce in October 2022, but not his Winter house costars are convinced he has moved on.

However, Flood isn’t convinced that Schwartz’s reservations about her hold up Winter house were linked to his alleged love for Maloney, 36. (Flood and Schwartz sparked a holiday flirtation on the Bravo series, but he hit the brakes because he was aware of how it could affect his ex-wife.)
“I don’t think it is,” Flood, 31, said exclusively Us Tuesday when asked if Schwartz’s hesitation with her was due to his “love” for Maloney. “I think he did a lot of things in that relationship [with Katie] which he knows has put her through a lot, and I think in his mind he was like, ‘Okay, this is going to be on TV. She’s going to see it. ”

Jordan Strauss/BravoFlood noticed them firing Winter house in Colorado Springs, Colorado, shortly after Schwartz filmed season 10 Vanderpump Rules. During that season, which aired last spring, Schwartz revealed that he had kissed Costar Raquel Leviss after his divorce, which hurt Maloney. (In March, news broke that Raquel, 29, was also having an affair with Tom Sandoval while he was dating their castmate Ariana Madix.)
‘They had clearly filmed Vanderpomp [Rules] a few months earlier and we clearly saw what happened last season. So I think that was in his mind,” Flood continued. “He wasn’t trying to be disrespectful [his ex-wife] or do something to her.
Schwartz’s choice to be extra careful with Maloney’s feelings led to drama between him and Flood, with whom he immediately connected upon arriving at the winter chalet.
“It’s funny, I really don’t know at what point it changed,” Flood said Us about her chemistry with Schwartz, noting that their “cute little grocery trip together” included a deep conversation that seemed to kick off their flirtation. “One thing that really struck me was that he was very honest about where he was and what he had done,” she said. “He talked about his marriage. He talked about things that might not have been the best things that happened in his marriage. So he was very open from the start, and he never threw Katie under the bus for me either.
The Below deck Mediterranean Star recalled finding it “very attractive” that Schwartz was so honest. “He’s cute and he has a very likeable energy. It was like a little crush,” Flood added.
Despite their good start, Flood and Schwartz encounter several roadblocks as they pursue a holiday romance. The biggest hurdle was Schwartz’s inability to overlook the fact that both Flood and Maloney had the same name. (They also share the same middle name, Marie.)
“To be honest, I didn’t mind it that much at first. We all knew very well what he was going through. There was a lot going on in every area of his life, so I really tried to hold space for that and be considerate of him and be gracious towards that,” Flood confessed. Us, which showed that Schwartz’s issues with her name eventually took their toll. “But that will certainly come [to] a [breaking] period, and it was just kind of bad.
She recalled that Schwartz “always talked about trying to respect his ex-wife,” which she said she understood. However, she noted, “I do have feelings, and it got a little tiring to keep going through this cycle, and I felt a little disrespected.”

Meanwhile, White told me Us that she was “definitely rooting” for Flood and Schwartz at the beginning of their journey. She also saw how much Schwartz’s need to protect Maloney affected his feelings for Flood, which didn’t sit well with her.
“They were both cute. But then, as Katie said, it got a little frustrating how much he was whining about his ex-wife, and we understand that, you want to respect her, but you can also move on respectfully,” White, 33, said. ‘There’s a way to do that. But I think it was just the name because everyone was just really annoying.

Despite the hiccups – and their cab loss – Flood and Schwartz left the house on good terms. “Let’s just say we went through a rollercoaster,” Flood teased at the end of the film Winter housenarrate Us “Everything is fine” now.
“I think a lot of people think this is a big thing. Vibes are good,” she shared. “We hung out a few times. We chat randomly. There’s no bad blood, nothing there. We had a nice moment and had a nice experience.”
