The season five trailer hints that Jenna Ortega may RETURN for the fifth and LAST season of the Netflix serial killer drama

Jenna Ortega’s character Ellie Alves may be making a comeback in the fifth and final season of the Netflix series You.

A teaser for the suspenseful crime drama starring Penn Badgley made its debut at Saturday’s Tudum fan event.

While the teaser didn’t reveal exactly who Joe Goldberg’s character would meet again, it strongly suggested the return of Ortega’s character, much to the delight of fans.

The 36-year-old actor’s voiceover said, “While I can’t say who just yet, we all know there are a lot of loose ends in Joe’s past. The question is: ‘Who are you?’

The teaser then showed multiple clips featuring different characters, including a scene with Ellie from season two.

Ortega’s character and Joe met in Los Angeles, where he became an unexpected mentor and friend to her despite his reputation as a stalker.

In the fourth season of You, Badgley’s character gets a taste of his own medicine from a vengeful serial killer as he tries to keep a low profile under a new identity.

After killing 10 people over the past three seasons of You, Goldberg can’t escape his past once he catches the eye of a killer dubbed the “Eat the Rich Killer.”

Following his move to London and his new life as Professor Jonathan Moore, Joe struggles with a new heartbreak, which he ominously refers to as the “catalyst for a new path.”

The previous season ended with Joe killing Love, the mother of his child before leaving for Europe in search of Marienne.

After season four, Badgley asked for fewer sex scenes out of respect for his wife.

The thriller reached No. 1 on Netflix’s internal charts with the second half of its fourth season. During the week of February 6-12, fans watched more than 92 million hours of the final episodes of the Penn Badgley series.

The first batch of episodes of You debuted on the Lifetime network in 2018. Since the debut of the second season, the show has moved to Netflix and has gained a significant following among viewers.
