I bought a dupe for YSL’s $42 lipstick in 2 shades – for $6 you can’t beat it
A BEAUTY fan has shared her review of $6 dupes she found for a $42 YSL lipstick.
Although there were notable consistency differences, she said that at $6 there was no battle between the two beauty products.

Ale Jay (@alejayofficial) shared the makeup test drive in a TikTok video.
“The YSL lipsticks cost a whopping $42 and SheGlam only $6! Talk about a bargain!” she said.
“Let’s test them side by side, okay?”
On one side of her lips she applied the YSL lipstick in shade 15. On the other hand, she used SheGlam lipstick in the shade Plot Twist.
“The shades are very different,” she said, comparing SheGlam’s mauve swatch to YSL’s cool purple-pink.
“The SheGlam feels a little shinier than the YSL. The YSL feels more like a lipstick,” she added.
“The textures are quite similar. The YSL feels a little thicker than the SheGlam. The SheGlam feels very light, more of a lip gloss.”
She then applied shade number 13 from YSL, which she compared to SheGlam’s Rule Breaker.
“They both don’t leave that sticky feeling on the lips that we love,” she said.
“I feel like the shades are quite similar, but the consistency is very different.”
Although she preferred YSL’s beautiful packaging, she didn’t regret her purchase from SheGlam.
“For $6, honestly, you can’t beat this,” she said.
Her review inspired and influenced many who were eager to try out the dupe.
