1000 lbs. Caleb, husband of Tammy Slaton, passed away at age 40

1000 lbs. sisters star Tammy Slaton‘s husband, Caleb Willingham, has passed away. He was 40.

Willingham’s stepmother, Shirley Willinghamconfirmed the death of the TLC star TMZ on Saturday, July 1. No further details about Caleb’s death have been revealed.

Slaton, 36, met Caleb when they were both patients at an Ohio rehab center where they were being treated for obesity-related issues. The couple got married a year later, in November 2022.

“It was the best day of our lives,” Slaton – who plays alongside sister Amy Slaton on 1000 lbs. sisters – stumbled towards E! News in January. “There was so much love in the room. I am thankful that so many relatives and our family were able to get out of rehab. … When we had our first kiss, he leaned forward and pressed the control switch and drove straight at me, sending me falling back into my wheelchair!
