Pregnant Sydney Warner wouldn't miss encouraging husband Fred Warner in Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas, but her arrival could be delayed.
“[I] was advised to stay home as long as possible so I'm taking that V seriously,” Sydney, 28, wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, February 8. “Honestly, I wish I could fly on Sunday morning but that would be too chaotic lol.”
She added, “I haven't packed anything yet. Yar girl is having a hard time.”
Sydney and Fred, 27, announced in October 2023 that she is pregnant with their first child.
During the NFL Championship, linebacker Fred and his 49ers teammates will take on the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, February 11. The game will take place in Las Vegas for the first time at the Raiders' Allegiant Stadium.
Despite the big match being four weeks before Sydney gave birth to their son, she was medically cleared to attend and cheer on Fred.
“I got this clearly from my doctor, so from a medical point of view I feel good,” says the Bachelor education alum, who previously appeared on Peter Weber's season, wrote on Jan. 31 via her Instagram Story. “By [a] Personal point of view, I'll just have to pace myself because these days I'm taking it slower. Sydney hinted on Friday, February 9, that she would fly later that day or the next day. Sydney shared a selfie of her bare baby bump as she packed her suitcase and added an airplane emoji. In a follow-up photo, she noted that her travel essentials included prenatal vitamins, antacid tablets and Unisom SleepGels.
Fred is already in Sin City with his teammates, practicing their game day drills and attending press conferences.
“I was blessed for the first time in 2019 [to go to the] The 2020 Super Bowl will feature some truly great veterans,” Fred said reporters Thursday about his first Super Bowl appearance, which was also against the Chiefs. “Hearing from them what the match was like and the week leading up to it, I was fully prepared as a young second-year player. I feel like I was really prepared for this moment.”
He continued, “This time I can be that veteran who has been through it now and knows what's going to happen because I've been on the other side of it. We were sad at the end of it. Now I want to be on the right side.”
Fred has made sure to 'reiterate' to his new teammates that they need to 'stay focused' on the game despite the overwhelming fuss around them.
