Paramedics rushed to the scene and confirmed the child had died at around 4.45pm.

It is believed that the mother gave birth to the stillborn baby in the toilet stall.

West Yorkshire Police are now desperate to find the mother so they can ensure her safety and well-being.

At a press conference this afternoon, the lead investigating officer pleaded with the mother to come forward and seek medical attention.

He said, 'I'm not here to arrest you. I'm here to make sure you get the medical help you need.

“So I appeal directly to this girl's mother.

“Please get in touch with us, reach out to our NHS colleagues and ensure we can get you the care you need.

“If anyone has any information that can help me achieve that, please contact me.”

DCI James Entwistle of the Major Inquiry Team previously said: “This is a tragic incident and we are urgently appealing to the baby girl's mother to contact us or seek medical help as she has experienced an extremely traumatic ordeal and may need help treating themselves.

“If the mother would like to talk to the police she can do so by calling 101 or she can use LiveChat online to talk to us remotely www.westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat.

“Our investigation into the incident remains ongoing today with NHS partners, but our main priority remains the welfare and safety of the mother.”

It is understood the pub was in the middle of Sunday roast service when the heartbreaking discovery was made.

Owners apologized to customers on Facebook last night.

One post said: “I've been writing post after post for the past hour, but I don't think it's the best time given the circumstances right now.

“We are sure there is speculation about something that happened at our establishment this evening.

“All I can say at this point is that I'm sorry to everyone who was with us at the time this happened and to everyone who was supposed to come in and couldn't come.

“A huge thank you to those who helped us when we were struggling as a team, it really doesn't go unappreciated.

“Lots of love Team Three Horse Shoes.”

It comes just a week after another baby was found dumped in a shopping bag at freezing temperatures.

Baby Elsa was found crying by a dog walker in Newham, East Londonon January 18.

She was less than an hour old when the discovery was made, but survived thanks to the quick thinking of the passerby.
