ABC has confirmed that The Golden Bachelorette happens officially after the success of The golden bachelor.

The Golden Bachelorette will debut in fall 2024. The spinoff announcement came on Saturday, February 10, during the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.

Host Jesse Palmer previously hinted that a female-led spinoff of the senior dating show could be in the works. “Absolutely. I really hope that's the case,” he said E! News in October.

Still, Palmer played coy about the potential series. “I obviously cannot speak for executives or anyone else,” he added. “I'm sure everyone is waiting to see how this one goes first. But I know there are thousands of women across America who deserve that.”

The golden bachelor was a hit from the start, with its September 2023 premiere capturing the Bachelor education franchise's largest multi-platform audience since 2020 Bachelor party season starring Clare Crawley And Tayshia Adams. The spin-off series followed Gerry Turnera 72-year-old widower who lost his wife of 43 years while looking for love with women in their 60s and 70s.

While some roses stand the test of time, others wither before Neil Lane's engagement ring can be resized. The Bachelor premiered on ABC in March 2002, with Alex Michel being named the World's Most Eligible Bachelor. More than twenty women competed for his heart and one of the most successful reality TV franchises was born. […]

As the inaugural Golden Bachelor, Gerry was skeptical that he would find love with multiple women, but he ultimately fell into the same trap as previous bachelors and bachelorettes. “I thought, 'No, that's absolutely not possible. Thats crazy.' How wrong I was,” he shared exclusively We weekly in September. “Because I felt really strong feelings for different women during the trip.”

Despite his deep connections, Gerry didn't believe he was truly “in love” with more than one woman. “In retrospect, I realized that at that particular moment, whenever it was, the setting was such that, 'Yes, it was easy to look at someone and tell them you loved them,'” he explained. “But once you get through it and look back, you realize there's really only one person who really meets the standard in all the situations you want.”

While Gerry set some boundaries for himself before filming began, he ultimately let his heart guide him through the process. “I had a few rules, but I broke them all. That was the problem. So I decided I was going to quit,” he said Us. “[My daughters and granddaughters] I was afraid I'd be the guy who kissed everyone on the first night. And I said, 'No, I'm not going to kiss anyone the first night. You won't see that. Maybe not even if we get into it.” Well, as you'll see, I failed the first night, but I don't feel bad about it at all.

Gerry eventually fell for Theresa Nist whom he married on television last month Golden wedding special, which aired a month after it aired Golden bachelor final.

“I've learned that you're the woman I can't live without. I've learned that you calm me down with the touch of your hand. I learned that you make me laugh with the easy comfort of a long lost friend,” he said during his vows. “I have learned that you are a strong and independent woman, and your strength brings me joy. I have learned that you make me a better person, a better man, because of your sensitivity and soft voice. Theresa, I now know that I have found a full partner to share the experiences that life has to offer us.'
