I Dated an 80 Year Old When I Was 23 – You Think They Don’t Cheat, But They Do

AS the saying goes, age is just a number, and one woman discovered that it can apply to every aspect of a relationship.

She revealed some unexpected aspects of an age gap relationship.

In her videoStephanie Matto (@stephaniematto) shared what it was like dating an 80-year-old man when she was 23.

“I have so many things to say about this experience and you don’t expect what I tell you,” the TikToker said.

“So first of all, RIP to my ex. I miss him sometimes, but I don’t miss the halitosis, I don’t miss the dentures, and I don’t miss how cranky he was in the morning.”

Stephanie told her followers that her ex was even older than her grandparents.

“When you’re a younger woman and you start dating older men, there’s this impression that you’re this Lolita, that you look like Lana Del Ray, but no, you just have daddy issues,” she said.

She explained that it was a combination of this and her being “so scarred from dating younger boys” that led to her age gap relationship.

Stephanie said she discovered that boys her age were only using her for their body or money.

“By upgrading to someone much older and a little more stable [I thought] “I somehow proved to myself that I was capable of change and could be smart,” she explained.

“Actually, I was just as stupid in a completely different way.”

She told her followers that she thinks older men cheat just as often.

“You would think they wouldn’t cheat on you because they have a lower libido, but there is also emotional cheating,” she said.

Stephanie described feeling intimidated by some older women her ex was friends with.

“One of these women literally saw The Rolling Stones and The Beatles live, I could never do that,” she said.

She added: “just because [men] being older doesn’t make them more mature.”

Stephanie pointed out that even dating a significantly younger woman was “a red flag.”

“Just because they’re 80 doesn’t mean things don’t work anymore downstairs,” she told her viewers.

“The lights are still on, they just flicker sometimes.”
