AISSEE 2024: Sainik School Admission Registrations for Class 6, 9 Underway; Check fees, eligibility

The All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2024 will be held on January 21, 2024 for the academic year 2024-2025.

AISSEE 2024 Exam Date: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to tackle the Entrance Exam for all Indian Sainik Schools (AISSEE)-2024 for the academic year 2024-25. Through this competitive exam, candidates can get admission in Class VI and Class IX in 33 Sainik Schools through the whole country. The last date for submitting online application forms is December 12. Talking about the schedule, the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2024 will be conducted on January 21.

Sainik School Application Fee

Candidates belonging to General/Department of Defense personnel and ex-servicemen/OBC (NCL) as per central list will have to pay Rs 650 as application fee. Meanwhile, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes have to deposit Rs. 500 as registration fee.

Community Service Centers (CSC)

There are more than 1.5 lakh Common Services Centers (CSC) across the country that will provide desired support to candidates from both urban and rural areas in submitting application forms online and paying fees through e-wallet. For Admission to Sainik Schools:

• For Admission to Class VI: A candidate must be between 10 and 12 years of age as on March 31, 2024 for admission to Class VI i.e. he/she must have been born between April 1, 2012 and March 31, 2014 (both days included) for admission to the academic year 2024-25.
• Admission for girls is open for Class VI. The age criteria are the same as for boys. Candidates are advised to carefully check the availability of seats for Annexure VI-A girls (as mentioned in the information bulletin).

For admission to Class IX:

• A candidate must be between 13 and 15 years of age as on March 31, 2024 for admission to Class IX i.e. he/she must have been born between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2011 (both days included) for admission to the academic year 2024- 25.
• The admission for girls is open for Class IX subject to the availability of vacancies. Age criteria are the same as for boys.
• He/she must have passed the Class VIII examination from a recognized school at the time of admission.

• For access to Class VI: from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
• For admission to Class IX: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The candidate must download the Admit Card from the NTA website using his/her application number and date of birth and appear for the examination at the given Center on the date and time as indicated on his/her Admit Card.

Sainik schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE. They prepare cadets to join the National Defense Academy, Indian Naval Academy and other officer training academies.

REMARK: Candidates who want to appear in the exam can read the detailed information bulletin for AISSEE-2024 and apply online only between 07.11.2023 and 16.12.2023. The exam fee must also be paid online through a payment gateway, using debit/credit cards or net banking.
