Alaska Airlines flight lands at Oregon airport shortly after takeoff

An Alaska Airlines flight landed at Portland International Airport on Friday evening shortly after takeoff after experiencing “an incident,” the airline said, without elaborating.

The airline and the National Transportation Safety Board said they were investigating what happened to Alaska Airlines Flight 1282. Few other details were immediately available.

The Port of Portland said an emergency landing was made at the international airport on Friday.
