WITH Easter just around the corner, many brands have launched some new sweet treats – and if you love chocolate eggs, you shouldn’t miss this bargain.
According to foodies, you can now treat yourself to Easter chocolate eggs in the form of your favorite drink – yes, really.
Popular discount store Aldi – which was named ”the cheapest supermarket” in 2023 – recently launched a special egg treat in time for Easter.
The supermarket has now launched a limited edition alcoholic drink that tastes exactly like the iconic and cult favorite Cadbury Creme Eggs.
Their own Limited Edition Ballycastle Chocolate Cream is a blend of smooth Irish Cream packed with hints of chocolate and sweet vanilla, and it’s the perfect drink for festive indulgence.
Priced at £7.69 for a 70cl bottle, this brilliant drink hits the shelves alongside other Easter-themed offers such as their budget-friendly Easter eggs for kids for just 99p, as well as a range of Easter egg hunt essentials.
However, if you want to get your hands on the bottle, which comes in the signature purple, yellow and red colors, we recommend you act quickly.
According to Aldi, this limited edition will only be available while supplies last – and the sweet drink has already become a rage on TikTok.
One foodie, @newfoodsuk_officialtook to the popular platform to share their honest opinions on the £7.69 bevvy – and after topping it off with some Easter treats, the verdict was positive.
‘Take a seat! Tastes just like Creme Eggs!”
The delighted customer shared their thoughts, adding that the drink could be a dupe for the posh Baileys as it was ‘the same’ in their eyes.
After hearing about the news, hundreds of fellow foodies rushed to the comments, where many tagged their friends and family.
Someone advised how to make the chocolate drink even tastier and wrote: “Place the cream egg in the freezer first and use that instead of ice to cool it.”
One person couldn’t wait to try the drink, adding: “Omg I need this!”
“I got the white chocolate, it’s amazing,” said a third.
“I need this in my life!” wrote another.
“Take my money!”, a customer races to the nearest store.
Tom Kerk, co-founder of LaatsteDeals.nlcommented: “Aldi’s latest offering is a clever twist on the Easter treat, combining the nostalgic flavors of Cadbury Creme Eggs with the grown-up appeal of Irish cream.
“It’s an inventive way to enjoy the seasonal flavors, and at such an attractive price, it’s sure to be a hit with shoppers looking for something special to add to their Easter celebrations.”
If you’re heading to the store this week to stock up on all the Easter treats, don’t forget to check out their pastry section as shoppers have also discovered another treat to look out for.
The discount supermarket has just relaunched the banoffee hot cross bun flavor – and foodies are in an uproar.
The sandwiches, said to be ‘delicious’, were a huge hit last year and now they are back on the shelves, priced at £1.25 for a pack of four.
