'They look delicious' fans shout as Aldi launches the Cadbury Mini Eggs biscuit dupe
ALDI shoppers are rushing to buy a Cadbury Mini Eggs biscuit and they “look delicious”.
The bargain discounter, with more than 1,000 UK stores, is known for its dupes which are usually much cheaper than branded versions.
And one in particular has had shoppers singing from the rooftops.
Customers are rushing to their nearest Aldi branch to grab bags of four mini chocolate egg biscuits.
The sweet treats are copies of Cadbury Mini Egg biscuits which will hit supermarkets on February 12.
Commenting on a post on the NewfoodsUK Facebook group, one customer said: “These look delicious.”
Another wrote: “On to Aldi, I'm going!! Yes please!!!!”
A third added: “These are banging. Microwave them for ten seconds and thank me later.”
While a fourth shouted: “Omg yes!!”
The Sun has asked Aldi for the price of these biscuits and we will update this story as soon as we hear back.
But remember, you can't order them online as Aldi has stopped its home delivery service.
However, you should be able to find them in your nearest branch. You can find your nearest store using the retailer's store locator.
It comes after Aldi shoppers shouted: “I need these in my life” after spotting peanut butter and salted caramel Easter eggs.
Meanwhile, shoppers are rushing to their nearest Aldi branch to pick up fresh new flavors inspired by a takeaway favourite.
The German discounter sells Golden Wonder 'Chippie' chips in the deep-frying curry sauce and the flavors salt and vinegar.
One online shopper commented: “They're amazing – yesterday I polished off a pack of curry in one go.”
Meanwhile, a second added: “I got some from Asda not too long ago and they had loads of flavour.”
How to save money at Aldi
It's not just dupes that can save you money at your next Aldi store.
It's worth keeping an eye out for the retailer's red stickers on the products; the staff will add these if something has been reduced in price.
But it may catch some shoppers off guard, as most supermarket chains are putting yellow stickers on discounted items.
In the meantime, follow the advice of super saver Tom Church and shop at the German discounter on Wednesday at 10am.
This is the time when the staff restocks their regular items and you have the best selection of products to choose from.
