Alia Bhatt speaks about fear

Alia Bhatt is undeniably a social butterfly. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress recently held an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session with her Instagram followers on Sunday. Alia took to social media to share photos and answered a variety of questions ranging from her daughter Raha’s nickname to how she deals with anxiety. For the uninitiated: Alia and her husband Ranbir Kapoor welcomed a baby girl in 2022, whom they named Raha. In November, the couple celebrated their daughter’s first birthday.

Answering the question about dealing with anxiety, Alia shared that sudden changes or situations beyond her control tend to trigger anxiety. She also wondered if being away from her daughter Raha is causing “separation anxiety.” Alia added, “Trying to control how you feel sometimes does more harm than good.”

Alia Bhatt held an AMA session on Sunday.

“We all have certain things that can trigger our anxiety – for example, I find myself getting very excited by a sudden change or a situation over which I have no control… but it took me a long time to understand that… from these moments I try just being aware of it, and if it’s too much, I allow myself to check out and feel the way I feel,” Alia replied to the anxiety question.

Discussing the issue further, the actress said that it is never easy to leave her 1-year-old child alone. However, it is a source of relief to know that Raha is surrounded by family in the actress’s absence.

“It’s never easy to leave her (Raha). But I think it will take a while for this to change (red heart emoji). Knowing that she is with family even when I am away somehow makes me feel less guilty,” Alia wrote in her reply.

Replying to another Instagram user’s question about the nicknames given to Raha, Alia shared that Raha is fondly called Rahu, Rara and Lollipop among others.

Additionally, when asked about her well-being, an Instagram user asked, “How are you?” Like really? How is life treating you right now!” Alia replied, “Really? I’ve been a little overwhelmed and preoccupied…but…gratitude in my heart, sincerely on a daily basis.’

On the professional front, Alia, who received the National Award for Best Actress this year, will next be seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra.
