Alec Musser dies at the age of 50: soap star and fitness model All My Children dies at his home in California, fiancee confirms… but the cause of death has not been revealed

Alec Musser passed away on Friday evening at the age of 50.

The soap star, best known for All My Children, died of unknown causes at his home in Del Mar, California, as confirmed by his fiancée, Paige Press.

His uncle also confirmed the tragic news TMZ but also did not reveal his cause of death.

Musser previously played the role of Del Henry in the long-running television series All My Children.

In July 2005, he landed the role after winning the second season of the SOAPnet original series I Wanna Be a Soap Star.

He appeared for a total of 43 episodes until he left the drama series in 2007.

He also appeared in Grown Ups, Desperate Housewives, Road to the Altar and Rita Rocks.

The New York native was an avid athlete even as a child and was also a fitness model.

After graduating from the University of San Diego, he began working with the professional ski patrol at Mammouth Mountain.

There he was scouted by an agent for his first modeling job at Abercrombie and Fitch.

His many other modeling credits include GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Speedo and Target.

After landing national commercials, he auditioned for I Wanna Be a Soap Star.

In recent years, he has been away from Hollywood but has maintained a presence on social media as he often posts about his active lifestyle and fitness journey.

His last Instagram post was of him participating in one of his favorite outdoor activities and surfing four days ago.

In the comments section, many of his fans left touching tributes to his memory and sent their condolences to his loved ones.

He leaves behind his fiancée, with whom he has been in a relationship for more than six years.

They recently got engaged last year and she posted a series of throwback photos on her Instagram Story as a tribute to Musser.

“RIP to the love of my life,” she wrote on a “2023 vision board” where she posted photos of him and engagement photos. “I will never stop loving you.”

With a photo of them together on the red carpet, she wrote: 'Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy.'

“You were the best fiancée I could have [sic] anything I ever asked for,” she posted alongside a photo of him surprising her with matching Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs. “I don't even think I can drive my g-wagen anymore.”

She also shared a photo of them enjoying a night out together from the start of their relationship.

“We look like babies here,” she captioned the throwback photo. “This was six years ago.”

She also shared photos of them ice skating and on a private jet with their dog Calle.

The press also posted a photo of them walking their dog during golden hour and on the beach during sunset.

“Rue will never stop loving her daddy,” she captioned a photo of Musser driving while holding their dog when she was a puppy.

“You were the best dog dad,” she captioned a photo of Musser with their two dogs and alongside a broken heart and crying emoji. 'RIP 4/11/71 – 1/13/24.'

She also shared a photo of her engagement ring, presumably from the moment he proposed to her on the beach last year.

She wrote: 'I never take off my ring. I will always love you.'

The press also posted a photo of a book she once gave him as a gift, with the caption: 'What I love about Paige's Alec'.

She also shared a photo of one of his modeling photos with the caption: “The best model @abercrombie has ever had.”

She also posted a tribute shared by their friend Jamie Corroon.
