Amazon Fire TV owner warns users about free content scams that could cost you money

AMAZON Fire TV Stick users have issued a warning about a free content scam that could take your money.

The advice was posted on a popular Reddit forum called r/FireStickHacks.

The forum has over 45,000 users and is used for sharing Fire Stick advice, as well as tips and tricks.

“What do you use to watch free movies and TV on your Firestick,” one Redditor asked.

“Don’t respond to DMs offering service. People are assholes,” one person warned.

‘It happened to me unconsciously. I’m new here and he knew it. He immediately took advantage of it,” another warned.

Amazon Fire TV Stick users can find services online that promise to jailbreak their device and give them access to free movie content.

This can sometimes lead to people watching content illegally.

The person who jailbreaks the Fire TV Stick may also charge a high fee.

“I’m seeing posts on the Facebook marketplace for ‘jailbroken firesticks’ that people are selling for $80 or more,” another person wrote in the Reddit thread.

“I want to contact them, make an appointment and then ask to see them for the first time.

“Then drop it on the ground and stomp on it when they hand it to me.

‘Childish and petty, I know. But people who do that are taking advantage of people.”

There are free streaming apps you can download to your Fire TV Stick that are legal and safe to use.

Tubi is one of the largest free movie and TV services in the US.

Via the Tubi app you have access to more than 40,000 films and TV series.

Pluto TV also has over 200 channels, as well as thousands of movies and TV shows.

Amazon Freevee is also worth checking out if you want free content.

Users also have access to 150 always-on FAST channels.
