Amazon offers several pieces of advice for linking your Fire TV remotely on its website.

One piece of advice concerns the number of controllers you have paired with the TV.

Too many controllers can cause overload, preventing you from pairing another remote.

Amazon says: “If you have paired seven controllers, remove one before attempting to pair another.”

You can easily make one Amazon TV remote control by clicking the Settings icon.

Then click on Controllers & Bluetooth Devices and then click on Amazon Fire TV Remotes.

Select the remote control you want to delete.

Then press and hold the Menu, Back and Home buttons until the remote is disconnected.

Amazon has some other advice if you're still having trouble pairing a new remote.

It says: “Replace the batteries in your remote control. Alkaline batteries are recommended for best performance.”

The tech giant also recommends moving your remote control closer to the TV.

For this to work, you must have the remote control within 10 feet of the TV.

If you are still having problems, restarting may be the only option.

Amazon says: “Restart your Fire TV by unplugging the device or going to Settings.

“Once you're on the home screen, press and hold the button At home on your remote control for 10 seconds.”
