Andy Cohen And Anderson Cooper share everything from identical initials to similar professions, making it easy to understand why the pair are best friend goals.
Cohen and Cooper met in the early 1990s, when they almost went on a blind date. However, the couple’s dynamic never became romantic because Cohen broke Cooper’s “cardinal rule” of dating — by mentioning his socialite mother, Gloria Vanderbilt.
Although the duo never went on a date, they forged a friendship that grew into an equally strong working relationship. Cohen and Cooper have hit the road together every year since 2016 for their conversation stage tour, “AC2: An Intimate Evening with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.” The pair have also cohosted CNNs New Year’s Eve live together since 2017.
The best friends stood by each other’s side when they both became parents. Cohen welcomed his son Benjamin via surrogacy in February 2019. Cooper, for his part, announced the birth of his son Wyatt via surrogacy in April 2020.
Cohen revealed via Instagram in May 2020 that he hopes their sons will be “best friends” when they get older – just like their fathers. He and Cooper have since welcomed daughter Lucy and son Sebastian, respectively.
