We have made it clear to V Doraiswami and the Government of India that the safety of High Commission staff is of the utmost importance,” tweeted James Cleverly.

Radicals have also planned massive protest rallies against India in Canada on July 8. Meanwhile, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly assured the safety of the Indian High Commission in London. The Indian consulate was attacked days after the killing of KTF chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar and Avtar Singh Khanda. Nijjar was one of India’s most wanted terrorists and had a monetary award of Rs. 10 lakh. Khanda was among those involved in vandalism of the Indian High Commission in London. Khalistan supporters deliberately try to blame the Indian government for the deaths of Nijjar and Khanda. Recently, India’s EAM S Jaishankar reacted sharply to Khalistani activities, urging countries not to give room to extremists.
