One Argos shopper shared her email alert on a Facebook post, urging fellow customers to check their inboxes for similar alerts.

The shopper wrote: “Anyone going to Argos make sure you check your emails.”

The specific Argos email voucher offered £5 off a £40 product.

“Use your £5 voucher for the latest deals to save even more,” the email alert read.

Fellow shoppers and bargain hunters couldn't resist taking to the comments section of the post to talk about their discount offers.

One such customer said: “I had this at the beginning of January and used it to get £5 out of a microwave. Every little bit helps.”

Another shopper said they got £6 off a £60 bill, while a third revealed they got £10 off after spending £95 with the coupons.

Save money at Argos

In addition to the exclusive voucher codes that Argos sends to its customers, there are many more ways to save money when shopping with the retail giant.

Checking for other vouchers and coupons can be a great way to discover great deals.

It's always worth checking the Argos website as there may be a voucher or code that will give you a discount.

Argos has a web page dedicated to voucher codes which are valid in addition to any discounts that may have already been applied.

Right now, the retailer is running at least 15 different promo codes for a plethora of electronic goods and home appliances that you can get a discount on.

It's also worth checking out The Sun's vouchers to get the best discounts when shopping in store.

Another way to save money at Argos is by shopping the clearance section.

In the large yellow section of the website, the retailer offers a discount on the last few products in ranges that are not restocked.

While the products may not be the latest model, they are always brand new – and offered at heavily discounted prices.

In addition to coupons and codes, you can also get paid to shop at Argos.

Cashback sites like Quidco will pay you to spend at Argos as long as you click on their link.

Such sites make their money by charging the retailer a fee for each customer referred to them through their website.

But it means customers can easily make money while they shop.

Buying Argos' own products can also save shoppers some money, as they are usually cheaper compared to big brands.

The retailer stocks its great value product range so you can save even more money.

The discount store sells its basic range across all departments, including homewares, DIY and electronics.

It comes as Argos is offering a 'great deal' that's ideal for anyone buying a new TV.

The retail giant is giving away a free Nintendo Switch OLED console to shoppers who purchase a select LG TV in-store.

The retailer says it's a saving of £309.99 compared to the usual price.

But be warned: the TVs available are among LG's most expensive.
