Pump Rules’ Ariana Madix Joins ‘DWTS’ Season 32 Cast
Vanderpump Rules‘ Ariana Madix joins the cast of Dancing with the stars amid her divorce from Tom Sandoval – and his affair with Costar Rachel Leviss.
Madix, 37, was the first cast member to be revealed ahead of season 32 of the ABC competition series, which premieres this fall. The announcement was made on Friday, July 7’s episode of Good morning America.
Derek Hough joined Madix in her and costar Katie Maloney‘s Something About Her deli before the big reveal. “Onward this season Dancing with the starswe’re going all crazy — crazy about Madix,” he teased.
Hough added, “Say goodbye to the drama and hello to the dance floor.”

Madix made headlines in March after she and 40-year-old Sandoval called it quits after nine years of dating over Sandoval’s ongoing affair with 28-year-old Leviss. Us weekly that Madix found out about Sandoval and Leviss’ relationship after she checked his “phone while he was on stage performing his new song” at a concert in early March.
While filming for the The 10th season of the Bravo series wrapped before news of the cheating scandal broke – aptly named Scandinavian – to shoot picked up again in the aftermath of the drama.
After her divorce from Sandoval, the Pump rules cast flocked to Madix’s side in the midst of the cheating scandal. Prior to the season 10 reunion, which was taped in May and aired a month later, Madix praised her co-stars for being in her corner during the shoot.
“I was angry. Sometimes I was sad. But I really think the biggest thing I felt was being so thankful for my friends,” she said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast that month. “Both the friends who were there that day were different.”
Sandoval meanwhile – who conceded the beginning of his affair with Leviss in August 2022 — be accused costars to use his affair for their benefit.
“Using all of these things as content for their podcast. Fellow cast members ask me all these questions, but you don’t want to know because you care about Ariana. You want to know so you have more content for your podcast,” he said at the time. “It’s fucking disgusting to me. It’s so dirty. You’re not one to care about Ariana. You are doing this for your own gain.”
While some of the Bravo cast members have benefited from the drama — including profits from their respective podcasts, merchandise, and more — Madix has seen the most change in her finances. She reportedly earned over $1 million in sponsorship deals for companies like Uber, Bic, Duracell and more — and was recently cast in the Lifetime movie, buy back my daughter.
“We don’t have generational wealth in our family,” Madix said Glamor in an interview in June 2023. “I want to earn enough money to take care of my mother and my brother and all other family members who may or may not need it. I never, ever, ever want to worry about it. So I will work as much as I can to avoid having to do that.”
