New Delhi: In connection with the notice issued in connection with the Aam Aadmi Party's accusation against the Bharatiya Janata Party of 'poaching AAP MLAs', Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the Delhi Police drama in the national capital, instead of stopping crime. instruction from his political masters, according to a report by news agency ANI.

A team of Delhi Police officials had arrived at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence in Delhi. The team handed over the notice to Arvind Kejriwal and sought a response from the AAP chief within three days.

The Aam Aadmi Party has accused the BJP of trying to topple the elected Delhi government through a campaign dubbed 'Operation Lotus 2.0'. Atishi alleged that the BJP has approached several AAP MLAs with bribes and threats in a bid to induce defections.

“BJP has launched 'Operation Lotus 2.0' and is trying to topple the democratically elected AAP government in Delhi. The BJP has contacted seven AAP MLAs and they have been told that Arvind Kejriwal will be arrested soon following which the AAP MLAs will be split. They are in touch with 21 of our MLAs, with whom they want to topple the Delhi government. These seven MLAs have been given Rs 25 crore each. Operation Lotus is the tactic the BJP uses to come to power in states where they are not democratically elected. Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh are examples,” the AAP leader said.

Atishi also revealed that the AAP is in possession of a recording of one such “Operation Lotus 2.0” call, with references to its possible release if necessary. Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate moved the Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday and filed a complaint against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for not complying with the agency's summons in the Delhi money laundering case.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Divya Malhotra, after hearing the submissions on Saturday, fixed February 7 for the remaining submissions and hearing of the fresh complaint filed by the agency.

When ED filed a complaint against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for not complying with the summons, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said, “Till date, people in Delhi and India knew Kejriwal as 'Bhashtachari Kejriwal' because of the kind of corruption he committed from the beginning. 'Dawa' to 'Daru'. But now they say he is 'Bhagoda Kejriwal' because the same Kejriwal, when he skips the summons from the agency five times and makes all kinds of lame excuses, normally any other agency will follow the legal process and approach the court for the next legal action…'

ED files complaint against CM Kejriwal

When ED filed a complaint against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for non-compliance with the summons, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said, “He is afraid to join the investigation. If he blames, it's hit and run and if he gets blamed, it's out on run. This has become the character of the INDI alliance. Now Arvind Kejriwal will have to answer.”

On February 2, 2024, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal skipped the Enforcement Directorate summons for the fifth time in connection with the money laundering probe related to irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-2022 case. The new summons to the Delhi CM followed the fourth time. summons, which he had skipped on January 18. While skipping the fifth summons, the party termed it 'illegal'.
