Bellamy Young, 53, reveals her skincare ‘miracle worker’ – it makes ‘you feel like you can be seen in the morning’

“So on my forehead where I’m worried, I rub the banana peel over it.

“You want to rub it in really well, and you want to leave this on for 20 minutes and then just rinse off,” she said.

“Do this two to three times a week or just every time you eat a banana.

“Just rub it on the areas where you have wrinkles,” she said, fresh-faced and beaming.

Experts at Cleveland Clinic Were not so convinced of the appeal of this face mask.

“There is no scientific evidence to suggest that rubbing a banana peel on your face will help,” says dermatologist Dr. Taylor Bullock.

However, there were some positives.

“Bananas are very rich in antioxidants,” added Dr. Bullock added.

“Antioxidants are naturally occurring substances that are good for your body, including your skin, and they are a great addition to your skin care regimen,” he said.

But there may be better ways to care for your skin, he said.

“In theory, you could probably get some antioxidants by rubbing the peel on your skin,” he said.

“But if your goal is to have a skin care routine full of antioxidants, you are much better off applying an antioxidant-rich skin care product to your face,” he concluded.

There was a mixed response from commentators.

“I used this for teeth whitening,” one person said.

“Yes, girl. I’ve used it. That is my secret,” was the positive experience of another.

‘I did this. My grandma told me it was good for the face,” a third person added.
