Barbra Streisand received the prestigious Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Woman of Leadership award Saturday at a private ceremony in Malibu, California.

The EGOT winner, 81, received the award from Judge Sonia Sotomayor and Dwight D. Opperman Foundation President Julie Opperman.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award, named after one of the iconic and pioneering justices to ever sit on the Supreme Court,” Streisand tweeted when the award was announced earlier this year.

Streisand – who will release her long-awaited memoir in November – is the fourth recipient of the award and the first musician to be honored in this way.

The Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Woman of Leadership Award is presented annually to women who have distinguished themselves by taking on leadership roles and making meaningful change in the lives of others.
