It is not Bella Hadid’s first rodeo! Model showcases impressive equestrian prowess while managing to look fashionable in Western wear

Bella Hadid proudly showcased her impressive equestrian skills in a new social media post.

The 27-year-old model took to Instagram on Monday morning to share a video of herself competing at a rodeo just weeks after being featured in her hunky cowboy boyfriend’s post.

Bella showed off her impressive control as she took part in an event known as cutting.

Cutting is a western-style equestrian competition in which a horse and rider work together before a judge or panel of judges to demonstrate the horse’s athleticism and ability to handle cattle. 

She also shared a few snaps of herself cuddling up with her beautiful brown horse and even kissing it on the nose.

Bella also posted another of her chatting with fellow competitors as they were atop their majestic four-legged creatures.

The stunner also shared a few modeling snaps as she looked fashionable in Western wear which were taken by her photographer pal  Yasmine Diba.

She rocked a brown and white striped Western-style button down top over patterned corset-style top which was tucked into blue jeans.

Bella completed the look with a brown leather belt with a gold buckle with matching cowboy boots which featured a custom chrome spur with ‘Bella’ emblazoned on it.

 Her brunette tresses were worn down as she showcased her natural looks with minimal make-up.

She captioned the gallery to her 60.9million fans:  ‘When @yasminediba came to visit.’

Not seen in either post was her boyfriend, cowboy and rodeo star Adan Banuelos.

Just weeks ago the model and accomplished equestrian was featured on his Instagram as he shared moments from a horse show competition she took part in where he proudly looked on before they shared a sweet embrace afterwards. 

The pair have not yet confirmed their romance but they were seen sharing a steamy kiss last October a few months after her split from Marc Kalman.  

At the time, Bella took part in the competition hosted by the National Cutting Horse Association at Bosque Ranch in Weatherford, Texas.

She competed in the $50,000 Limited Amateur category, riding bay roan stallion Metallic Tito. They earned 132 points, landing them in eighth place.

Adan is an accomplished horse rider and the son of Ascencion Banuelos — the first Mexican-American to be inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Riders Hall of Fame.

In 2017, Adan was also inducted into the same of hall of fame, becoming one of its youngest inductees. 

Bella is also an avid horse rider herself and often documents her love of the animal online via her social media channels.

The black and white snaps showed them having a hug after the show while she also posed with her horse. 

 

They were first seen together last October as footage showed the lovebirds sharing a passionate Kiss.

She was caught on video in Fort Worth, Texas, as she wrapped her arms around the 34-year-old professional horseman and leaned in to lock lips.

That wasn’t the only PDA for Bella, who quietly split from her previous boyfriend Marc Kalman last year. 

She and Adan were also seen holding hands and smiling as they crossed the street while out and about.

Eyewitnesses told TMZ that Bella and Adan both looked happy while out together.

Adan is highly accomplished in the performance horse industry and in 2017 he became one of the youngest riders to be inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association’s Riders Hall of Fame.

He and Bella have plenty to talk about as she’s a longtime equestrian who recently got back into the sport after her Lyme disease battle left her unable to ride for years.

According to PHC, Adan specializes in ‘cutting’ — an equestrian competition that requires a horse and rider to successfully separate and isolate a single cow from its herd. But he’s also found success in other ‘roping and cow horse events.’

He was named the NCHA’s leading open rider in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022, and he boasts a net worth of over $6 million, per his family’s website.

‘Adan specializes in training and showing cutting horses; excelling at the highest level. In addition to his own success, he continues to have top level amateurs & non-pro riders within his program as well,’ the description reads.

Adan is the son of champion rider Ascension Banuelos, who immigrated to the United States from Mexico at just 13 years old and later became ‘one of the greatest horsemen of his time.’

Ascension is one of the world’s top cutting horse trainers and the first Mexican American to become an NCHA Hall of Famer.

A documentary about Ascension was released in 2017.

In a gushing birthday post shared in May 2021, Adan referred to his famous father as his ‘coach and most importantly my best friend.’

In March 2023, Bella returned to competitive equestrian riding for the first time since she was forced to give it up in 2016.

Her health struggles kept her from partaking in the sport despite being on track to possibly go to the Olympics. 

Bella’s connection with horses started early in life as she began riding at the age of three.

Her mother Yolanda, who was also a passionate equestrienne, raised Bella, her sister Gigi and son Anwar Hadid on a horse ranch in Beverly Hills.

Bella was a nationally ranked equestrienne who was trying to make the 2016 Olympic team when she was sidelined by Lyme disease.

She was diagnosed with the tick-borne illness in 2012 and in the years since the symptoms of the disease have left the catwalk queen bed-ridden, hospitalized, and needing regular IV drips.

In August, she shared photos of herself and her horses at Wellington International, an equestrian club in Wellington, Florida, after telling fans that she was ‘finally healthy’ after seeking treatment for Lyme disease.

She took a five-month hiatus from modeling due to her debilitating flare-ups and only just got back into the swing of things in late August.

Sometime in the spring of 2023 Bella quietly split from her boyfriend of two years, Marc Kalman.

A source claimed that the relationship ‘ran its course’ and that Bella has placed her focus solely on her health.

‘They were very in love, but the relationship ultimately ran its course and they decided to end things. Bella is a very nice person, but struggles with the pressures of fame. She has been trying to take care of herself since their split,’ the insider dished. 

Bella and Marc reportedly met through work in New York City in 2020.

But the ultra private star waited until the following summer to confirm their romance on social media as she shared a sweet photo packing on the PDA with the art director, who worked with rapper Travis Scott for years.

At the time, E! News reported that they were already ‘serious’ and she ‘has been excited to be seen with him’ in public after keeping their romance private for a year.

‘He has been the creative behind many fashion projects and they have crossed paths several times,’ the source revealed.

He family was also said to have ‘approved and loved him.’

During a chat with Interview Magazine, Bella said she felt ‘super comfortable and feel very safe with Marc’ and referred to him as her ’emotional support bunny.’

As for his work as a photographer, she gushed that he ‘is incredibly talented at everything he does.’

While Bella rarely spoke about their relationship in public, she credited keeping their romance out of the spotlight for ‘why things have been able to last.’

Shortly after news of the split broke, a source insisted to Us Weekly that Bella ‘isn’t focused on dating at the moment.’
