Beverly Johnson secretly married her longtime partner, Brian Maillian, last year.

The iconic supermodel, 71, revealed she tied the knot with her financier fiance in an intimate and spontaneous wedding ceremony in Las Vegas on her birthday.

During an appearance on SiriusXM's Wave in the morning On Friday she told how they spontaneously decided to flee after twelve years together.

The actress – who posed with the world's oldest supermodel Carmen Dell'Orefice, now 92, for a racy magazine shoot – said he asked her what she wanted for her birthday.

She recalled, “Two days before my birthday [on] On October 13th he kept saying, “What do you want for your birthday?”

'On October 11, I sat up in bed and said, “I know what I want for my birthday. I want to get married,” she continued.

When Maillian agreed, she remembers being surprised and excited and saying to herself, “Did he say okay? Oh damn.”

She also revealed that Maillian initially wanted a wedding with 1,500 guests, but ultimately settled for a smaller, more intimate ceremony.

She added that some of her closest friends joined them for the wedding and “orchestrated” the whole thing, even though it was a last-minute decision.

Two days later, on her birthday, they exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife.

“It was just the right time,” she said of their impromptu wedding, which they said they had in a “very beautiful” chapel.

As for their wedding rings, she said she told Maillian she wanted “a piece of property” instead of a ring.

“I have a lot of rings!” she joked.

The couple has no children together, but Johnson shares one child with her ex-husband, music producer Danny Sims.

She is mother of daughter Anansa Sims, 45, and grandmother of three grandchildren.

Johnson, who made history as the first black woman on the cover of American Vogue in 1974, was previously married to real estate agent Billy Potter from 1971 to 1975.

She was later married to Sims from 1977 to 1979 before meeting Maillian.

Johnson and her current husband have been together for more than a decade and have been engaged since 2020.

Johnson previously said she “never” wanted to get married again, but said she changed her mind when she met Maillian.

“It's so profound because it's on a completely different level,” she said on the radio show.

“Especially on a spiritual level as we grow closer to our God – whoever that may be – and each day and each moment becomes so precious.”
