Commenting on the incident, Union Minister Smriti Irani said, “Police did not come when stones were pelted at Ram bhakts, but police appeared when the Prime Minister was addressing youth voters. The disrespect shown by the INDI alliance leaders towards Sanatan Dharam and Lord Ram is clear.”
