New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi has written back to President Murmu after she wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. President Droupadi Murmu said in a letter to Prime Minister Modi on Sunday that she complimented Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the run-up to the 'Pran Pratistha'. In return, Prime Minister Modi thanked President Murmu for her words of encouragement.

President Murmu also wrote that the nationwide festive atmosphere surrounding the inauguration of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya is an uninhibited expression of India's eternal soul and the beginning of a new cycle in the country's revival.

Letter from President Murmu to Prime Minister Modi

In a two-page letter to Prime Minister Modi, the President said that “as you prepare to go for 'Pran Pratishtha' of Prabhu Shri Ram's 'murti' (idol) at the new temple built at his birthplace in Ayodhya, I can only think about the unique civilizational journey that will be accomplished with every step you take in the sacred area.”

Referring to the eleven-day rigorous 'anushthan' undertaken by the Prime Minister, Murmu said it is not only a sacred ritual but also a supreme spiritual act of sacrifice and submission to Lord Ram.

Sending heartfelt wishes, the President said that the nationwide festive atmosphere surrounding the inauguration of the grand temple of Prabhu Shri Ram at Ayodhya Dham is an uninhibited expression of the eternal soul of India. “We are all fortunate to witness the beginning of a new cycle in the revival of our nation,” she said. Murmu said that the universal values ​​of Lord Ram such as courage, compassion and constant devotion to duty will be brought closer to the people through this beautiful temple.

“Prabhu Shri Ram symbolizes the best aspects of our cultural and spiritual heritage. Above all, he represents good, which is constantly in conflict with evil. His life and principles influenced many episodes of our history and inspired nation builders,” she said.

President speaks about Mahatma Gandhi

The President said that Mahatma Gandhi drew strength from Ramanama till his last breath and quoted him as saying: “Though my mind and heart long ago realized the supreme attribute and name of God as truth, I recognize the truth by the name Rama. In the darkest hour of my process, that one name saved me and still saves me.”

She said Lord Ram's message of treating everyone with love and dignity, irrespective of their social background, also called upon the intellect of pioneering thinkers. His focus on justice and welfare of the people is also reflected in the country's governance prospects, the President said.

Illustrating this, you (the Prime Minister) recently released the first tranche of various benefits to the people of vulnerable tribal communities under the PM-JANMAN initiative, she said.

“It was encouraging to see that you also invoked Mata Shabari in your speech on that occasion. In fact, she would be doubly happy to see the temple of Prabhu Shri Ram as well as the well-being of the people,” the President wrote in her letter to Modi.

President Murmu has said that Lord Ram is the embodiment of all that is good about this country and, indeed, humanity as a whole. “May He guide the world to the right path; May He bring peace and bliss to all!” President Murmu wrote.
