THE Met Office has warned of snow today as heavy rain triggers dozens of flood warnings – but sunshine is just days away.
For many Britons today will be mild and cloudy, with some showers and a chance of hills snow in the south of Scotland.

Rain clouds drift towards the north Scotland tonight, but in England it will be “exceptionally mild”. Wales.
Tomorrow it will also be cloudy in much of the country, with some heavy rain in the west.
The Environment Agency has issued 24 “expected” flood warnings warnings and 156 “possible” flood warnings across England.
Flooding is expected along the lower parts River Severn at night, the agency said.
There is also a risk of flooding at high tide along the coast of Northern England.
But some parts of the South East can be blessed with sunny spells.
The weather will be drier and clearer on Friday and will remain mild for this time of year.
Predictors said there will be “clear and sunny spells” across much of Britain this weekend.
Most Brits will enjoy clear skies, mild conditions and even some warm sunshine.
Clouds and drizzle are expected to return to the south next week, but northerners will still enjoy the crisp winter sunshine.
