Britain’s largest yacht worth £140 million features a fold-down beach club and helipad.

The Swiss pharmaceutical baron Ernesto Bertarelli had the boat secretly built by boat maker Devonport from Plymouth Yachts under the code name Project 55.

Ernesto is said to have bought the £100 million British-built superyacht Vava II for his ex-wife’s 40th birthday.

Former Miss UK and songwriter Kirsty Bertarelli was named Britain’s richest woman in 2017 and was married to Ernesto.

But they divorced in October 2021 after their 21 years of existence wedding hitting the rocks.

The massive ship features six decks, four boats to take passengers to shore, a fold-down beach club, a variable depth swimming pool and a helipad.

The main deck salon, with a sliding glass wall opening that becomes part of the main deck aft pool, has proven extremely popular.

And it even offers the possibility to open up the entire indoor and outdoor space for events and parties.

Staggeringly, it reportedly costs £250,000 just to fill the fuel tanks.

The huntwhich was converted at Amels in 2015, is a regular at cruise hotspots around the world.

Vava II exceeded expectations during her extensive travels to remote locations and geographically diverse places such as the Indian Ocean Islands, Indonesia, Alaska, Polynesia, Patagonia and Antarctica.

The helicopter deck has been used extensively for the embarked Eurocopter AS350B3 for a mix of transfers, sightseeing, heli-skiing and fishing trips.

Ernesto and Kirsty were previously spotted on the deck of the lavish boat in Boston Harbor in the US.

The pair, who met at a dinner party in Sardinia, flitted between an £8 million estate in the Swiss ski resort of Gstaad, a £10 million estate in Geneva and a £10 million pile in the London Borough. Belgravia.

Following their discreet divorce, Kirsty is reportedly living alone in a stunning £350 million mansion on the shores of Lake Geneva.
