A fortune teller who predicted three important historical events grew up in a petrified cave.

Born Ursula Southeil in 1488 to fifteen-year-old Agatha Soothtale, the child grew up in the grim, cold environment until a family eventually took pity on her and her teenage mother.

The cave is estimated to have existed for 10,000 years and has since become a tourist attraction for those brave enough to visit.

There is also a small museum on the site that tells the story of Mother Shipton.
