Brittany Higgins had a Bumble date on March 22, 2019, the night she claims Bruce Lehrmann raped her.

On Tuesday, Ms Higgins was questioned in court about whether she had deliberately deleted contacts in her phone, and told the court she could not remember the name of her date.

Ms Higgins said she normally archives messages from people she no longer speaks to.

Mr Whybrow said: ‘Archive’ suggests there is a copy somewhere, and there isn’t.’

Ms Higgins said she wasn’t sure before Mr Whybrow brought up messages with her Bumble date.

“As for Nick…” he began.

“Oh, his name is Nick, cool, I didn’t know his name,” she interjected.

Mr Whybrow said: ‘Mrs Higgins, that’s a lie – you called him Nick in your draft book.’

Ms Higgins appeared surprised before saying: ‘No, I am very traumatized when I was questioned about this.’

Mr Whybrow continued: ‘I assume you always knew his name was Nick.’

At that moment Mrs. Higgins laughed.

“If you scroll through my phone, you’ll know I named him ‘Bumble Guy,'” she told the court.

Ms Higgins admitted she may have known his name when she drafted the book in 2021, but had since forgotten it.
