Shoppers are rushing to the big supermarket as the price of Britain’s favorite chocolate has been slashed
SHOPPERS are rushing to a major British supermarket to snap up a classic chocolate that has been reduced in price.
There’s a special offer on the iconic Cadbury Milk Tray tomorrow, but it won’t be around for much longer.
From tomorrow, Tesco will halve the price of the sweet treat to just £3.
But at the end of March it will be half price again at £6.
And for the reduced favorite you need a Tesco Clubcard.
However, if you don’t have one, Morrisons is offering the same deal, with a box of Milk Tray for £4.50 instead of the usual £9.
One woman shared the tip on Facebook, writing: “Cadbury’s milk container £4.50… these are the large 530g cartons.”
She helpfully added: “Make sure you check sizes as the small 360g boxes cost £4.25 at full price, the 530g boxes cost £4.50”.
Numerous customers in the comments also said Tesco was offering a similar deal.
As Easter approaches, the British are preparing to stock up on chocolate.
And a bargain supermarket has launched a range of sweet treats for the new season at even sweeter prices.
Aldi is currently offering the cheapest selection of Cadbury crème eggs, costing £2.25 for a 200g carton.
The box contains five of the 40 gram eggs that have been around for more than 50 years.
Prices for the treats start at £2.50 in stores like Tesco or Asda, but in Co-op they are even more expensive at £2.85.
The discount supermarket also has the best deal on the large Celebrations Easter egg, priced at £2.99.
