In it, Camila takes on the role of Ana, an art lover who is stuck in the thankless position of assistant to the formidable art magnate Claire DuPont (Marisa).

A chance moment leads Ana to accompany Claire to London for an auction arrangement.

On her first-class flight, Ana meets charming Englishman William (Archie Renaux), and their connection is sparked over an encounter involving a spilled drink.

Last week, Camila opened up about wanting the role during an interview with Gayle King CBS mornings.

'I was once an intern at a talent agency, so in some ways I can relate, but I also wanted to play her because I just find her so ambitious and passionate about her work and I feel the same way about acting. ' she said.

When Gayle asked her to share more about her passion for acting, the star replied, “I feel like I've known that I love acting since I was five. So I never had to go through that phase of, 'What do I want to do?'

“It was very clear to me that I wanted to be an actor, so I've always been very single-minded about that goal.”

Since the film is about “coincidental events,” Camila was then asked if she could identify with those in her own life.

'I definitely have to deal with that. I think there are serendipitous moments that happen all the time that change the course of my life and this film is a great example of that.”

Camila also revealed why she wanted to make a romantic comedy in the style of '90s rom-coms.

“People always love to talk about 90s rom-coms and people are very nostalgic for them, so every time I do a rom-com I really try to figure out what was so magical about rom-coms in the past,” she says. began.

“And I think a lot of it is chemistry, good, funny jokes between the characters and trying to keep it as nuanced as possible,” she continued.

“I think rom-coms have become kind of cookie-cutter these days and it's fun to try to figure out how to be a little different and break out of that mold.”

Camila also revealed how she learned the ropes of Hollywood on Riverdale.

“It was like an acting boot camp because shows like that don't really exist and may never exist that way: teen shows, teen network shows that just last for years and years,” she explained.

“I don't think that happens much anymore,” she continued.

“So I'm very grateful to have had that experience to be able to show up every day and do what I love and deliver and learn and grow and develop my skills.

“It's taught me so many technical things that I realize when I go into other projects I'm like, 'Oh, I learned that because of Riverdale.'
