Carey Mulligan, Ruth Wilson and Jodie Foster led the stars at a chic Oscars-nominated reception held at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Saturday evening.

Carey, 39, nominated for Best Actress for her role in Maestro, was the epitome of chic in a stylish black leather co-ord with a statement jacket and fitted trousers.

The stunner, who was joined by husband Marcus Mumford, completed the look with a pair of pointed heels and accentuated her features with glamorous make-up.

Meanwhile, Ruth, 42, was ravishing in red, teasing a glimpse of her toned midriff in a stylish top with sassy cutouts and tie details.

The Woman In The Wall star paired it with dark merlot trousers and even wore the color story in her lipstick.

Meanwhile, Jodie, 61, who is nominated as Best Supporting Actress for her role in Nyad, looked sensational in a perfectly tailored black suit.

Her blazer had gold embellished lapels and she wore it over a plunging blouse while accessorizing with simple jewelry.

The two films that took center stage in last summer's box office showdown – Barbie and Oppenheimer – are both firmly in the Oscar race.

Both Barbie and Oppenheimer have a chance to win the award for Best Film, Barbie has a chance to win eight Oscars, while Oppenheimer leads all contenders with no fewer than thirteen nominations.

Director Christopher Nolan's magnum opus fell just short of the most nominations for a film in Oscar history, one shy of the record of fourteen set by La La Land, Titanic and All About Eve.

Oppenheimer will compete for four of the top five awards: Best Picture, Best Director (Nolan), Best Actor (Cillian Murphy) and Best Adapted Screenplay (Nolan).

The film will also compete for Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), Best Supporting Actress (Emily Blunt) and a slew of technical categories.

Barbie made more headlines for those not nominated, with fans expressing their disapproval of Margot Robbie's Best Actress criticism, along with Greta Gerwig for Best Director.

Ryan Gosling was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for playing Ken, along with America Ferrera for Best Supporting Actress for Gloria, who gave one of the film's most stirring speeches.

The list of ten films for best films is completed by American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Past Lives, Poor Things and The Zone of Interest.

Lily Gladstone also made history by becoming the first Indigenous actor to be nominated for Best Actress for her role in Killers of the Flower Moon.

The only other woman to receive this award was Frances McDormand, who won both Best Actress and Best Picture in 2021 for Nomadland.

The 96th Academy Awards will be held live on ABC on March 10 at 7 p.m., hosted for the fourth time by Jimmy Kimmel.

It comes after nominations were announced for the 2024 Golden Raspberry Awards, awards given to artists and films deemed the 'worst' of the year.

Jennifer Lopez, Megan Fox and Vin Diesel get Razzie nods while Sylvester Stallone's Expend4bles tops the list in seven categories
