Renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Sachin Shridharani has encouraged youngsters to be cautious when it comes to facial fillers.

Speak with The face with Alex Pike podcast this week, the New York-based surgeon opened up about the “overuse” of fillers by people in their early 20s.

Alex, 46, a celebrity cosmetic injector himself, agreed with the doctor on the issue of ‘filler fatigue’ and ‘fillorexia’ in patients.

“I think there’s definitely an element where a lot of people in this industry are starting to look the same,” Sachin said bluntly.

Dr. Shridharani, who trained at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital, added that the trend of young patients becoming overcrowded is “concerning.”

“It’s a bit strange, all the cheekbones are too high, all the lips are too full, they have given up their own natural beauty,” he added.

Dr. Shridharani said he had no problem saying ‘no’ to patients when necessary, and stressed the importance of maintaining a good reputation in the industry when it comes to treating people.

“Why are we injecting these patients in their 20s who no longer need volume? It’s concerning,” he explained.

“I don’t take full faces that are already statuesque and throw another two or three ml into their cheekbones just to make a patient happy.”

Dr. Shridharani admitted that too much filler can make a patient look “weird” and become a “caricature” of themselves.

‘It ages the face. It makes it look a little too grown up in some ways,” he explained.

He went on to say that a youthful face is one with “volume restored,” which provides the best overall outcome for patients.

“Well, let me tell you something, I hardly regret things in my life, but this is one that I REALLY regret, and when I say “very much,” I mean that if I take the time could turn back, I would!’ he continued.

‘As a result, I now have body image issues and sometimes hate the way my face looks now. I hate it so much, I hate looking at myself in pictures.”

Liam went on to say that he now avoids taking photos and is afraid to even upload videos to his Instagram Stories.

“I’m working on undoing this now and I can’t wait!” he added.
