Chris Hemsworth shows off muscle training with Arnold Schwarzenegger

Chris Hemsworth made hearts beat faster when he shared a photo of him and Arnold Schwarzenegger together after a workout.

The 39-year-old Thor beefcake modeled a white tank top that allowed him to fully show off his muscular arms.

“You never know who you’ll run into at the gym!” joked Chris as he posted the photo to Twitter. “What a dream to train with the one and only @Schwarzenegger.”

Arnie, 75, who rose to fame as a bodybuilder long before he became a movie star, quoted the tweet, writing to Chris, “Look how pumped up you are!”

Their photo comes two weeks after the two action hunks starred together in a new ad for Netflix, where they both have hot new projects.

Arnold stars in the streaming service’s action-comedy series FUBAR, which ended its first season less than a month ago.

FUBAR features Arnie and Monica Barbaro as a father-daughter duo who are each shocked to learn the other is in the CIA.

Along with FUBAR, Arnie is also the subject of a new Netflix docuseries consisting of three episodes detailing his extraordinary life and multiple careers.

Meanwhile, Chris is the dashing protagonist of the Netflix film series Extraction, the second installment of which was released this Friday.

In their new Netflix ad, Chris bumps into Arnie in an elevator and tries to chat with his idol – only to get somewhat deflated when the older action star starts giving him hopelessly corny catchphrases for the next Extraction movie.

While Chris was “pumping up” naturally during their last training session, Arnie was candid about the fact that his own methods weren’t always orthodox.

Arnie legally took steroids as a young bodybuilder and recounted the experience decades later when he was governor of California.

He did not approve of steroids for modern use, but told ABC news: ‘I don’t regret it, because at that time something new came on the market and we went to the doctor and did it under the doctor’s supervision.’

Arnold told Men’s Health in May that in his steroid days he was taking 100 milligrams of testosterone a week and 15 milligrams of Dianabol a day.

However, he emphasized that the climate for taking steroids has changed dramatically now that the drugs have been banned in America and bodybuilders no longer buy them as he did, with excessive doctor guidance.

“Bodybuilding was always, always considered a safe sport,” he said. ‘But it isn’t now. Now people are dying – they’re dying of drug overdoses and they don’t know what the hell they’re doing. They listen to charlatans. If I want medical advice from a doctor, I go to UCLA or the Cleveland Clinic.”

In 1970, at age 23, he became the youngest-ever winner of the Mr. Olympia, but ten years later he retired from the sport.

Later in the day, Hemsworth was spotted arriving at Netflix’s Tudum: A Global Fan Event in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

For the special occasion, he looked smart in a tight check suit over a black button-down with the top buttons left undone.

Schwarzenegger was later photographed on stage.

He was casually dressed in a navy blue sweater, distressed brown biker jacket, and mustard pants.

At the fan event, he stood alone on stage and spoke animatedly to the audience.
