“I had absolutely no idea about this [was] going to happen! Even as far as asking @neillanecouture if he could make earrings so I could propose to Brayden,” Mandrell, 28, wrote via Instagram on Friday, January 5, alongside several laughing emojis.
Of course, Bowers, 25, is known for his eccentric style and often wore a variety of hats, scarves and dangling earrings during his Bachelor Nation stint. He even told it exclusively We weekly in October 2023 that he packed 34 pairs of earrings in his suitcase before filming Bachelor in paradise season 9.
Bowers surprised Mandrell — they launched their relationship in December 2023 after the BiP final – by asking the question first on Thursday, January 4 Golden bachelor wedding.

“I just knew there was something special, and there was something different, and then I got to spend time with you and spend time with Blakely … and introduce you to my family,” Bowers said during the live TV broadcast, referring to Mandrell’s 6-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. “For the first time in my life, I feel like I’ve found someone with whom I can be unapologetically myself. And I have no doubt that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Disney/Eric McCandlessMandrell was initially taken aback by Bowers’ proposal, but eventually realized that the engagement plans were the reasons he pressured her to get a manicure just hours earlier. She tearfully said yes, and Bowers placed a Neil Lane sparkler on her left ring finger.
“Last night was surreal,” Mandrell added in her social media upload on Friday. “I’m overjoyed and so grateful to @goldengerryturner and @theresa_nist for giving their blessing to @braydenbowersofficial (my FIANCÉ) to propose [to] me on their special night! They are such an inspiration and a beautiful example of love! 🌹🌹🌹.”

Before the emotional wedding ceremony, Bowers and Mandrell spoke with the presenter Jesse Palmer about the origins of their love story.
‘She sent me a DM! She added my DMs and it was funny because we hit it off,” Bowers recalls. “We would FaceTime every night for about four hours [or] five o’clock, and one night we started talking and I made a reference to Tenacious D… and this woman here said, ‘Did you make a reference to Tenacious D?’
While Bowers couldn’t believe Mandrell had heard of it Jacket black‘s band, she took that opportunity to make plans for their first date. “She said, ‘Well, I know I had tickets for this concert next week,’” he added.
Bowers plans to move into Mandrell’s Nashville home later this month.
The pair are both members of Bachelor Nation. Mandrell appeared on Zach Shallcross‘ season 27 of The Bachelor months before Bowers moved on Charity Lawsonseason 20 of The Bachelorette. After his elimination, Bowers filmed BiP season 9 in the summer of 2023, but left the show single.
