My cleaning buddy works magic, removing scratches from my toddler's dinner plate

A CLEANING expert has shared the trick she uses to breathe new life into scratched cookware.

She was able to remove scuffs from her toddler's favorite household items.

The mother (@justyouraveragecl) shared the cleaning trick in a TikTok video.

“My toddler obviously chose a fourteen-year-old Ikea plate with a million scratches as his favorite,” she said.

She held up the broken green plate and tried to smooth out the scratches so her child could eat it.

“Since we apparently have to keep this record, I'm going to at least get these scratches out,” she said.

Dumping a mountain $3 Bar Keepers Friend multi-purpose cleaner and polish she went to work on the board.

“If you've seen any of my videos you know I'm a huge fan of Bar Keepers Friend, it works magically every time,” she said.

“They have a special cleaner for cookware and that's what I use here.”

For those looking to preserve or transform their expensive cookware, she highly recommends trying out the polish.

“If you're someone who has really nice cookware or dishes, you would love this,” she said.

“Try buffing it out with some Bar Keepers Friend before throwing it away as you might be surprised by a huge difference.”

She joked that even though she stole the plate from her sister fourteen years ago, her sister would probably try to take it back after cleaning it.

People were shocked at the difference the powder made and some thanked her for pointing out the simple solution.

“I have a whole bunch of these dishes that we still actively use! Mine aren't very worn, but how fun would it be to spruce them up?! I'll try!” said one commenter.
