A cleaning expert has uncovered three places in your home you’re probably not cleaning – and revealed cheap and easy solutions to leave them sparkling.

Carolina McCauley shared her cleaning tips via a video on her TikTok account @carolina.mccauley.

Her videos are extremely popular among social media users and she has amassed over 2.9 million followers on the video sharing platform.

“Three places in the house you forget to clean,” she said.

‘Are you forgetting one? Or is it all three?’

Carolina explained that the first place you’re likely to forget to clean is the dishwasher.

Because dishwashers clean things themselves, people often don’t realize that they need cleaning too.

The cleaning expert revealed that to clean the dishwasher, you can simply add a cup of white vinegar to it when there are no dishes in it.

Then choose a quick program and the vinegar will clean the dishwasher without having to scrub.

Carolina added that although the vinegar will smell quite strong when you put it in the dishwasher, you won’t be able to smell it once the dishwasher is done.

The second place Carolina said you’re likely to forget to clean is in your washing machine.

As with the dishwasher, the cleaning professional recommended adding vinegar to the detergent dispenser and running the machine on a fast cycle.

This also makes the washing machine spotless, without you having to do any work.

Finally, Carolina warned that you’ll probably forget to clean the tracks in the sliding doors.

Carolina showed off her dirty, grime-covered door rails and shared a simple trick to clean them.

She took an empty cardboard toilet roll and squeezed it in half.

She then attached the toilet roll to the end of the vacuum cleaner and placed it in the rails before turning the vacuum on.
