Getty Images(2)Country music fans are in for a treat with the 2023 CMA Awards, which takes over Nashville on Wednesday, November 8.
The highly anticipated awards ceremony will bring the best of the genre to the masses, including a performance by Laine Wilson. The 31-year-old “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” singer is the most nominated artist this year with a total of nine nods — an honor she doesn’t take lightly.
“Holy Moly everyone. Someone pinches me. I can’t believe my eyes,” Wilson wrote via X in September after the nominations were announced. “To be nominated in these categories together with my friends means the world to me. Entertainer of the year?! Absolutely surreal. We’re kicking our butts out every night to give you all the best show and I’m having the time of my life doing it. All I can say is: thank you all. I love country music.”
Wilson also made CMA Awards history as the only artist to top the nomination list during her first two appearances in the final voting. In 2022, her first year as a nominee, she was the top performer with six nods.

Who will organize the CMA Awards 2023?
NFL legend Peyton Manning and country icon Luke Bryan are co-organizers of the event for the second year in a row. “You know, Peyton, it was really something special to host the CMA Awards with you,” said Bryan, 47, said in an October teaser for the performance, to which Manning, 47, replied, “Luke, they were legends.” The pair proceeded to ride fake horses and pretend to ride off into a sunset before agreeing to return as the presenters.
Which singers are nominated for a 2023 CMA Award?
In addition to Wilson, these are the top nominees for the 2023 awards ceremony Jelly roll with five nods, Luke Combs And HARDY with four and each Jordan Davis, Ashley McBryde, Chris Stapleton And Morgan Wallen all for three prizes.
In the biggest category of the night, Entertainer of the Year, Wilson will compete against Combs, 33, Stapleton, 45, Wallen, 30, and Carrie Underwood.

ABC announced this on November 1 Kelsea Ballerini, Jordan Davis, Cody JohnsonDan + Shay, The War and Treaty, McBryde, 40, and HARDY, 33, will also take the stage.
PostMalone will join the star-studded lineup alongside HARDY and Wallen for a “county classics medley,” according to the network’s press site.
How will the 2023 CMA Awards honor Jimmy Buffett?
Kenny Chesney, Mac McAnally, Alan Jackson and Zac Brown Band will all take the stage at the CMA Awards to pay musical tribute to Buffett, who passed away in September. The “Margaritaville” singer was 76 when he died after privately battling skin cancer for four years.
